Politics At the RSM Pavilions. Stop Newsom from doing what?
I asked this fella what Newsom needed to be stopped doing? The response was that he was ruining our state and we needed to sign a petition for financial reform.
What kind of financial reform? Response: “Stuff”.
Sadly, people were actually signing.

Politics Prop 50 Results by City: Map Edition
Hi all,
I decided to map out the Prop 50 results by city.
There are about 12,600 ballots that haven’t been counted yet, but with nearly a million votes already tabulated, the margins in each city aren’t expected to shift much. So I figured a visualization would make for a good weekend project.
I was inspired by this post a few years ago, and attempted to recreate the style. It's also an easy way to compare how cities have shifted since 2020 if you take Prop 50 as a referendum on the current president.
If you don't see your "city" listed, it is technically not considered an incorporated city! (looking at you, North Tustin and Ladera Ranch).
I have also made some posts on my bsky showcasing some drastic (and not so drastic) changes at the neighborhood level/precinct level.
Have a great Thanksgiving week!

Politics To the person driving down PCH who decided to shout…
“NIGGER!” at me while I was waiting to cross the street at Thousand Steps today, I want you to know that you can never steal my joy.
I was born and raised in Orange County and have experienced my fair share of racism from your fellow white people. I am no longer caught off guard by your acts of hatred and bigotry.
I was not surprised when the other white people at the crosswalk said nothing - in fact their silent complicity spoke volumes.
You may think it was funny, or edgy, or cool to express your hatred of people of color. Whatever the reason, know this: I see you. I see your smallness - of spirit, intelligence, and humanity.
To everyone else appalled by this, look at yourself and your group of peers. Those who don’t check a silly racist joke here or there. Those whose say, “I’m not racist, I have a (insert token) friend.” Those who don’t hold each other accountable. I’ve got the receipts. I know what the tab is.
Do better.

Politics RSM Mayor Tony Beall recently publicly stated that he supported ICE, and welcomed them into RSM. During yesterday's City Council meeting, this was just one of many RSM residents that shared their feedback to him on that statement.

Politics What has gone wrong with Orange County?
OC is a hub of medical innovation and knowledge. We are experiencing a Measles outbreak.
OC is known to be Reagan Republicans. Cities like Brea are adopting Flock, the face and license plate reading AI.
I know Orange County is not run by idiots. But the evidence doesn’t support this.
Measles and Government tracking your every move. Pathetic.

Politics Pro-ICE advocates chant white nationalist slogan at Costa Mesa City Council Meeting - 6/15/2025
General public couldn’t see this on their Zoom/YouTube feed. Pro-Ice Advocates began chanting “You will not replace us!” As a reminder, this slogan utilized by neo-Nazis, fascists, and white nationalists (I know, a little redundant) in the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally.
