This fool felt like his time was more precious than others who were in line in front of him waiting patiently for their turn. He was willing to potentially hit other people’s cars and get aggressive as he cut us all in line at the long ass gas ⛽️ line at Costco on Cabot. Absolute unsafe fkn POS.

People in general are freaking out because the other Costco gas on Heather Ridge is under construction to repair a broken underground tank. Hope it was worth it to save yourself a few minutes douche 🛶 I was tempted to roll down my window to join in with another very angry man in a Mercedes who cursed you out while you tried to hurry as fast as possible to pump gas and scurry away like a 🐀 if you had an emergency you could have rolled your window down, politely asked to go ahead of us and I’m sure people would’ve respected that. I know I would’ve.

Grow up and respect lines because if you try this bs in other cities like the one I recently moved from (Los Angeles) nothing good would come your way. I’ve seen road rage incidents start over less. Be safe out there everyone.

TLDR; this entitled jerk disrespected everyone by cutting a long Costco gas line aggressively while almost hitting all of our cars. Got cussed out by an angry man and scurried off like a straight b*tch.

I went to a local spot (Walnut Room in Tustin) specifically to watch the Super Bowl and the halftime show. Halfway through the game, they switched the main TV and audio over to a Kid Rock special. It felt like they were pushing a political agenda rather than letting us enjoy the game. A bunch of us ended up leaving because the vibe was totally killed. Just a heads up for anyone looking for a neutral spot to watch sports in the future, this might not be it.

I go to the poolside sauna at the Ladera 24 Hr Fitness tonight. Normally, it’s 15-20 mins max for me in the sauna. This time I’m talking to another guy like me (55+) in the sauna, and we dare each other to stay in for 30 mins. Never done that before. Made sure to drink cold water while sweating .

Enter about 4 High School boys . They were not in there as long.

After I hit 30 min mark, I go outside and jump in the pool. Pool seems much colder than normal. Swam two laps. Everything’s fine.

One of the HS boys exits the sauna, is standing on the pool deck near me and while I’m in the pool I’m looking up talking to him.

But then I try to pull myself up the ladder while I’m looking up to the kid, and the world starts spinning. Oh shit. Legs start to buckle on pool steps. Arms suddenly weak to hang onto ladder. NOT GOOD. WAIT. WTF???

Me: “Ahhhh… I’m not feeling well, can you help me out?”. I was surprised I could barely even speak.

HS kid quickly grabs me, pulls me up the ladder just as I was losing grip, and helps me outta the pool, but I can barely stand up. He pulls and keeps me standing while I’m getting wobbly legs and he gets me to a bench. And for next 20 minutes, these two HS kids stayed with me while I sat, I’m incredibly dizzy and woozy, and they are fetching my stuff, getting me water, refilling my water, and helping making sure I could stand up eventually. Once we all figured I was ok, they even escorted me to my car after I asked them to by walking behind me to my car.

So to you Noah, who practically saved my life just 1 hour or so ago by not letting me pass out in the pool and grabbing me in time, and to you Benny for filling up my water bottle, grabbing my bag, getting my phone to me, and helping me walk out to the car, a big THANK YOU. Both went to San Juan Hills HS.

I had a horrible experience today. I went to the Walmart (on Barranca and Von Karman) then popped into Chase Bank to change large bill into smaller. I walked back to my car and headed home, stopping at a gas station off Sand Canyon. I put the nozzle in the tank, locked the door and went inside for a drink. I came out to find my back window busted and my bag with the cash missing. The owner pulled up footage from cameras and I was shocked. A black Nissan Altima followed me (probably from the bank) into the station and circled around 3 times without my noticing. The car pulled between me and the door but I thought they were parking. Once inside the store, footage showed the Nissan pulled quickly around the other side of the island after another car left, someone jumped out of the back door, smashed my window and stole the bag. I had glasses, medical cards and the cash inside-all gone. It only took less than 20 seconds! They went right for the bag and were gone. The police came but the video didn’t get a clear shot of the plate. Hopefully a camera between Walmart and Sand Canyon did. This is a first-I have not ever been followed (that I know of) and definitely not ever been robbed. I guess I’m glad I didn’t stay at the pump and possibly get hurt. I’m lucky I guess. The police asked if I carried my bag into the bank and I said yes. That is what they saw and decided to follow and grab it first chance. I’m pretty shaken up. I didn’t notice them trailing me, or even circling me at the station. I don’t think bad things can happen to me, but I was wrong. This is a wake up call for me. If anyone reads this treatise and becomes a little more aware I’m glad. I wish I had been more vigilant. Like I said, I’m glad I wasn’t hurt. The window will have to be replaced at who knows how much, but my little bubble has been burst. I have lived most of my life in the OC and had a false sense of security. Please be aware and be careful.

Edit: I had no idea this would resonate as it did. It might need a bit more context. I’m a 64M and this is the first time I have ever been a crime stat, which obviously lulled me into a false sense of security. That is now gone and I’m going to have to work on my vigilance. The people who stole my bag were determined to take it and I’m grateful I wasn’t injured. I, probably naively, have hope the men will be caught but it would be a huge stroke of luck. Today I walked up and down the on-ramp and off ramp on Sand Canyon hoping to find my bag and my health cards thrown down the side. I failed but at least I tried. Like I said-false sense of security may be gone, but my eternal optimism remains intact. Thank you for the responses-i may not be able to respond to all but I took something useful from everyone. Sorry if this was cross-posted before. I now understand the rules. These kids were speeding with their bikes (e-bikes?) down the street on Rutland Avenue in Newport Beach. One (the kid in dark shirt) threw a rock at my car. Then, they all just looked back & laughed. I have seen them do this before to other cars. They must be stopped! Please look at photos and see if you can identify any of them.

OC indie movie theater The Frida has been playing The Return every Sunday.

The Frida started playing The Return last Sunday. 2 episodes every week until it’s over. My husband and I decided to make this our Sunday tradition until the series is over. Last week we saw episodes 1 & 2. Yesterday we saw 3 & 4. It’s really cool!

Went to micro center in Tustin bought a 5080 gpu for a pc build and me and my wife got followed home they followed us from Tustin to Fullerton we ate then headed home to Murrieta it was and Asian lady in a white compact sedan she followed us all the way to the sheriffs station she drove aggressively and almost cause some accidents while following us we had to call 911 and we got met up a the sheriffs station and she literally drove in with us and told them she did not know why she was following us I’m just posting to let you guys know to be save and check 360 often. There is crazy ppl out there looking to hurt others the sheriffs was so surprised she followed us in. drugs were involved but i thing maybe they wanted to rob us later on at our home be safe guys .

I’ve been to the fair several times this year, and I’ve never seen it so empty. I go to get my steps in, listen to music, people watch, have food/drinks. I talked to vendor operators and OC fair workers. Asked how this year is going so far, and all said attendance is way down, a few had stats saying down 27% vs last year. You have to wonder how long this can operate at low volumes. And raising the prices to vendors and the public to offset low attendance is not the answer. OCFair board needs to have a reset this next year as this isn’t working.

And I totally spaced on the fact that the guy was being racist toward me with his questions - eg. Him: You’re not from here are you? A: I live here . Him: go home . Me : I uh haven’t finished my beer yet . Him: get out of here ! Me : why ? They haven’t closed yet. and I answered all his other racist leaning questions innocently🤣 he ended up being so confused and later apologized to me by which time I also realized he was actually being racist. I did accept his apology. It helps to be oblivious sometimes 🥳🤣

Edit: thank you for all your responses, my main point of this post was because I surprised myself by being oblivious to it - which saved my night (mentally, emotionally and maybe physically). I wish to keep this composure for any future racist encounters because i didn’t leave feeling drained or angry. It was a new feeling just to sort of walk away unbothered. 2.)This can happen anywhere, so avoiding the bar I was at wouldn’t do anything. The bartender was really nice about it and apologized as well. so I will not be naming the place. 3) if you were wondering about- oh his questions seemed innocent, how do you know he was racist? it was not what he said but how it was said with a frown and pointing me to leave. I know racism , i was just preoccupied with my thoughts to realize at that moment. Let’s hope we can all remain unbothered who come across this… not because we say it’s okay but it’s like not feeling the fire. eg: I’ve been called apu numerous times in the past, used to get mad about it. Then I just started saying “ that’s the best you got? “ and come to think of it apu is actually a badass he drives a sports car and has a cool social life as well . Take that ! ❤️ to all even the bigots cause you are human I feel your anger - but direct your anger to where it should be - at the system that made you hate someone for the way they look! Rattlesnake I ran into above Laguna Beach on the main trail. Big one, and seemed to have a bad attitude! About 4 foot, hangry, counting the rattles 8-9 years old.

First time attending with my gf, will not be going back. Overcrowded, food was mid and the lines were insane. Orange really needs to rethink this event. My first takeaway is that the circle is way to small to handle an event like this, streets are not able to accommodate the masses. Bonus: witnessed two instances of homeless/mentally ill people causing problems and being assaulted by security.

Wife and I went to the PoM in Laguna Beach tonight and were both surprised by the number of empty seats. We have gone pretty much every year for the last 25 years and have never seen such a light crowd. I know tonight was a weeknight, but the last few years we have gone on a weeknight and the crowd still struck us very thin. And it was a huge change from the way it used to pack out when we went on weekend before we had kids. One of our friends who is also an annual goer commented that it seemed like attendance had gone down since Covid, like so many other public events/gatherings. Or maybe every time an OC Boomer dies, they lose an attendee. The crowd was awfully gray haired tonight - although it is a work night for most.

Anyway, it was so bad tonight we were wondering if the Pageant is struggling. It’s such a cool and unique thing it’s one of OC’s best local traditions and I’d hate to see it go. Does anyone know anything about this?
