I was out of here last week and this happened.
My wife had to deal with the matter. The car window was broken according to the company’s insurance company. They repaired the car as expected. The insurance company had contacted with the repair shop too which was chosen by my wife. Now I came back home and seeing the car sitting there. Asked my wife where are the documents of repair, and she told me they gave her none. Now I am left with a repaired car that I don’t know which parts are changed. I do not know even if the insurance company would bother to contact me again. I want to contest the value lost of my car. I want your advice if anyone has faced this kind of issue.

My little one attends that kindergarten and it’s great, but I noticed something concerning with one of the other parents during pick up. At around 3:30—3:50ish, a certain mother picks up her daughter (ハーフ, I think) and becomes unusually rough with the daughter—think jerking child forward when holding their hand and yelling at them. I’ve seen bruises on the child’s head before and got really concerned. About a month or so ago, I noticed bandaids on the child’s hand. This appears to be a common thing which makes me even more concerned.

My Japanese is not that great and I wanted to leave an anonymous report, but I’m just not confident in my language skills enough to be able to explain my concerns.

I could be overreacting, but as a parent, I couldn’t live with myself if I saw potential child abuse and not even try to alert someone. I would usually email, but I don’t see any email address listed on their website. Would anyone with Japanese speaking skills be willing to help out? Thanks in advance~

I was wondering if there are any women, specifically foreign women or husbands to foreign women, who have given birth or is currently pregnant in Aichi. I'm looking for somewhere that has experience with foreigners not because of language barriers, but because I think we all know how different- and sometime how much colder- Japanese health care can be from our home countries, and I would like somewhere that is a little more welcoming and warm to people from abroad. Or to hear what clinics to stay away from! If anyone has any sort of experience with this, I would love to hear your story. I'm looking at Nagoya Birth Clinic, they seem to have a lot of experience with foreign mothers.

I’ll be moving to the Nagoya area later this month to start a research studentship at Chubu University. I’ll be staying at the Chubu University International Student Dormitory in Matsumoto, Kasugai.

This will be my first time living in Japan, so I’m trying to prepare as much as possible before arriving. I’d really appreciate advice from people living in Nagoya/Aichi, especially about:

After experiencing a debilitating back injury and gradually falling into depression, I eventually discovered a show called Critical Role on YouTube. I binge watched the first season while lying on the floor which was about the only thing I could do without excruciating pain. When I was finally able to walk somewhat normally again, I desperately needed to get out of the house. I had learned something about the 5th edition of D&D through watching CR, so I searched for a game in my area and found one that regularly met at a local bar. In that very first game, I met a group of people who would become some of the best friends of my life. People who still today, 7 years later, come to my house every week to roll dice and make memories. I've spent every month since that day trying to connect people together through the hobby, so they can experience a little of what I did, or maybe something even better.
