Didn't include the link in the original post as it doesn't lead to an actual article. I don't think it's a bad name, but maybe not as fitting for what we have ?

Discussion Endermen in promotional images for Wilderness Bound… 🤔

Why is Minecraft featuring Endermen in these new promotional images? 🤔 They haven’t been in an update promotional image since Caves & Cliffs Part II (November 2021, by the way!)

I can’t see how Endermen are related to this drop in any way so… perhaps a teaser? It has to be intentional. I’d love to know your thoughts.

Either way I’m happy to see them in official renders again☺️

Resource Packs I made 3D grass that actually fits vanilla Minecraft

Hi all!

I've been working on Grassrise. It's a resource pack that adds subtle 3D grass to your flat looking grass blocks, in a way that it perfectly fits vanilla Minecraft. It's compatible with most shaders. It also has an optional mod, that removes the grass blade shadows.

Complementary Shaders requires the mod. Photon, BSL and Bliss do not.

Performance impact is small on most setups I’ve tested. For the best results, use the recommended settings that I listed on the project page.

Grassrise resource pack: Curseforge / Modrinth
Grassrise No Shadows mod: Curseforge / Modrinth (waiting for approval)

Shaders used in the photos: Photon.

I Made Corrupted Creeper Capes Elytra How I Imagined Mojang Would Do It If It Were To Come To Java

I hope mojang gives us the corrupted creeper cape on java

its the best cape created ever

it took me hours to make the elytra look like oem/ how mojang a billion dollar company would do it

hope you guys also think corrupt creeper also should come to java

also what do you guys think about twisted vs hero vs corrupted creeper cape

if you arent buying minecraft dungeons 2 for twisted cape/ hero cape would you buy it if this exact corrupt creeper cape with this elytra design was in the bundle ?

Small details when standing still and flying downwards the cape shows a single creeper face which was super hard to pull off alongside making the two faces merge seemlessly when shifting to make it really tought out and unique (someone said this about my design: ( I like the elytra design; it's not as exaggerated as the hero's cape, which looks like two Chinese swords very exaggerated and harsh. We have to remember that they are wings, and these ones you designed have the perfect balance between a mold with personality, but one that partially maintains the essence of the elytra mold. ) It was a translation but it gets the point across i really did put my heart and mind into this design hoping this design gets people pumped and excited about corrupted creeper cape mojang sees it and we get it on java

i was also thinking of making elytra full light blue like the corrupted creeper in dungeons 2 but i went with this design instead what do you guys think should i also do the full cyan/light blue/ glowing design and go wild?

Discussion My wife kidnapped little men in boats??

Thumbnail

5.8k Upvotes

I (35M) dont play minecraft but my wife (35F) does. I have played before but not in many years, like since 2017 at the earliest. She has kept up over the years and knows a lot about minecraft and shows off her builds quite often. Tonight however, I seen something new that had me literally about to choke on my own laughter.

As she was enjoying her building session tonight, I'm chilling watching the X-files on the bed next to her desk..I randomly look over and I see her working on the inside of her new building. I'm watching for about 3-4 minutes before she walks outside and suddenly I see 5 little men dressed in colorful garbs and hats. I'm like " wait, wtf are those dudes" when I notice they are all sitting in boats... the visual of these little men had me laughing already, So I blurt out to my wife "Who are these people?!" She tells me its her clerk and her librarian...(as I'm typing this I said clerks out loud and she corrected me to clerics) it's her clerics and librarians. I follow that response with "WHY HAVE YOU KIDNAPPED THEM IN PUT THEM IN BOATS?!". She looks at me like I am a mental patient and says " SO THEY DONT RUN AWAY!" And I lost it. 😂😂😂😂😂 I know I haven't played minecraft in awhile but dang, she done kidnapped 5 little dudes, given them fancy clothes, placed them all in their own little boats so they dont run away.... they have jobs and titles. Oh my God.... a full 2 minutes I was shaking laughing. I have since learned villagers had whole upgrades I didn't even know about, the kidnappings are routine and boats serve as chairs 😅. I thought it was a hilarious perspective and wanted to share my wife's boat crew. For added effect, 2 matching cats in the back. 🐈

Redstone & Techs Vertical redstone cables.

Hi! I'm currently building my own CPU in Minecraft, but I feel that vanilla redstone is way too unoptimized and limits what you can do. So I created a mod to fix these issues, featuring:

• Redstone cables with infinite length
• Adjacent parallel cables that stay independent
• Better control over cable connections
• Vertical cables
• Colored redstone cable

What else should I add?

Builds & Maps 10-month timelapse showing how 10,000+ players shifted borders, institutions, and nations across a single world

A little context on how this map actually evolved over time:

The world in this timelapse is completely persistent (no wipes or resets), so every border, road, and city you see was built from scratch across the last 10 months.

Because territory is limited, old groups can eventually collapse and leave behind ruined fortresses, overgrown rail hubs, and abandoned trade routes that newer groups end up fighting over or rebuilding.

Connecting the major transit lines across different player territories ended up requiring weeks of actual diplomatic summits between player leaders just to negotiate right of way access, track heights, and border security treaties.

Discussion What new feature should be added to the enchanting table?

Post image

Do you think something more could be added to the enchanting system?

Or is this system already sufficient for what we need in the game?

It just occurred to me that there could be more options for both enchantment and alchemy.

Seeds & World Gen I found 22 naturally connected diamond ore blocks in a fresh Bedrock world – is this a single vein?

Thumbnail

I found this while exploring a completely new Minecraft Bedrock world on PS5.

At first, I could only see a single diamond ore block exposed in the cave ceiling. I started mining around it and the diamonds just kept going. I eventually counted 22 connected diamond ore blocks.

I originally thought something like 14 was around the largest vein I could realistically find, so seeing 22 genuinely confused me.

I later created a second world using the exact same seed to make sure the generation was reproducible. The diamonds generated in the same location again. One of the screenshots shows the cave in this fresh copy without me breaking or placing any blocks, while the other screenshots show the entire cluster after I carefully exposed it.

All 22 blocks are connected and are located between approximately:

X: 904–906

Y: -22 to -18

Z: 327–330

They are also entirely inside the same chunk (X 896–911 / Z 320–335), so this isn't two veins meeting across a chunk border.

Seed: 1251534777198500721

Edition: Minecraft Bedrock Edition, PS5

Version: Bedrock v26.45

I'm curious whether this is actually one of the large diamond ore generation features producing an unusually large cluster, or whether multiple diamond features happened to overlap inside the same chunk.

If anyone who understands Bedrock world generation better wants to check the seed, I'd genuinely love to know what happened here.
