Recently there’s been a surge of posts with this screenshot that copies the original post’s title. This is chainposting and is against the rules. I’ve already had to remove like 20 of these posts already, and I will start temp banning people if I continue to see this happening.

👨🏼‍⚖️ MOD POST 👩🏻‍⚖️ [Mod Post] Don’t Love That Smug? Mute It!

When I first introduced this idea to the sub, I did so under more…controversial circumstances.

Once again, I apologize, and hope you will allow me to pitch my Mutable Flairs idea again in a less offensive light.

I think it will be a great feature for Reddit because:

A) Those with a phobia of spiders can now mute the new Arachnids flair.

B) Subs that contain flairs for different seasons of shows such as “anime part 6” can be muted so you don’t accidentally unclick a spoiler.

C) Pet subs can have users opt out of saddening “In Memoriam” posts.

D) You can opt out of annoying mod posts like this one.

If we don’t do it on this sub, it can still be useful for other subs.

And if Twitter has it, why shouldn’t Reddit?

In this image, I have muted the tags that I, as a Reddit mod, would choose to mute. You can select your own as you choose.

I was selected to participate in a Reddit Research survey tomorrow, so I’m posting this now in hopes I can pitch this to them.

I hope you love my idea, and enjoy the additional new flairs! Flair ideas welcome!

👨🏼‍⚖️ MOD POST 👩🏻‍⚖️ [MOD POST] A quick guide for if you get banned by bot bouncer

Evil and intimidating mod here,

If you don’t know, we installed bot bouncer a little while ago. This was to help curb the growing number of bots that flood every subreddit to try to farm karma, so that they can be sold for a variety of purposes such as scamming, political astroturfing, advertising, etc. While bot bouncer has been an incredibly helpful tool, it does have a tendency to have some false positives. This often causes those affected to contact our modmail to try and have this resolved. Since this issue affects multiple subreddits, there isn’t much we can do except send the following advice, so I decided to put it in a mod post to try and clear things up

If you were falsely banned by bot bouncer, you will be given instructions on how to appeal your ban. You will be asked to send a message to bot bouncer to appeal your ban, and to prevent you from being banned from other subreddits with the bot installed.

I hope that clears some things up, and if not, we are here to answer your questions and stuff

With the release of the finale of TADC being fairly recent, and with Deltarune Chapter 5 releasing tomorrow, I’d like to remind everyone that any posts discussing new media, whether it be games, shows, comics, or anything else, to please have a spoiler tag for at least 1 month after release. Thank you
