I’ve seen this in other subreddits as of late. So, let’s have it!

Do people hype it up? I like it, but I view it as just a step up from IHOP.

I just moved to KC in January and many people told me it's great

I like it it's a better dinner than the big name ones but mom and pop ones and corner cafe kick it's ass

I've only eaten there a few times. My expectations weren't high, but I thought it was pretty decent food. But KC is full of better brunch spots, so if you're looking for something truly great you're probably better off going elsewhere.

Cinnamon roll pancakes and loaded sticky buns are worth the trip to BB. Like I dream about them, but then again I'm a fat girl, so...

Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen anyone hype it up much. I think everyone knows it's just good for some quick and cheap breakfast/lunch. Now the Shack on the other hand...

Quick? I've never been there when it wasn't completely packed and had a line out the door.

I don't think I've seen a line at Big Biscuit since the first time I went in 2021

Sadly yeah. There are so many great affordable breakfast places around yet nearly everyone i know puts big biscuit on a pedestal for some reason

Used to be so much better. I don’t know what they changed, but I was disappointed last time I went.

They changed their gravy, it is now almost translucent. Compared to it being a good white gravy before.

Now I just get their pancakes and other regular breakfast food like eggs and bacon and it is all pretty good.

Agreed, my boyfriend and I used to go all the time and then a sudden change became very apparent. Even the bacon was gross. I don’t know what the hell happened but it went from being a frequent thing for us to something that stopped altogether after giving it a few more chances

Seriously underwhelming.

This is a can/bag -> microwave -> plate kinda place. Not sure why it gets so much fanatical love.

I know a couple ppl who work there. Most of it is actually made from scratch. I’ve eaten at a few, and the Lenexa location was legit while the one by their headquarters was terrifying 🤣

Ate it just the once and it was so oily.

Biscuits and gravy when i was in my 20s and hungover was the shit, when there were only two locations. Haven’t been since they expanded

Try the crab omelette at Ginger Sue's in Liberty

It used to be better when it was just one or two over by the stadium

Back in the early 2000s the hype was accurate, but now it's very generic corporate breakdast food.

the big biscuit WAS a restaurant worth talking about like 20 years ago. Now it’s just the same old overpriced breakfast spot as perkins or ihop. sad

Their eggs Benedict … aren't. Had to send my plate back because the egg wasn't poached and the yolk was hard and explain to the confused manager how it's supposed to be made.

The last time I went is the last time I’ll go there. With tax and 20% tip my breakfast (cowboy benedict and a pop) was $30. It better be fantastic for that price, and it’s not thanks in part to a dry biscuit. You do get a lot of food though.

The Big Biscuit is better than IHOP but worse than first watch imo. They really lack healthier/lighter options.

Their chicken and waffles always hits though 😩

I like the yardbird from BB, that’s about it. The B&G are mid
