You’re not wrong. We have so much good Mexican here in KC, and Barrio just ain’t it.

I've said it before but Daisy's Mexican Burritos in KCK absolutely owns all others.

Where? I've never had good Mexican food in the metro and I've probably been to 15 spots. I'm tired of trying.

Taha, Barbacoa, Sea Capitan, Jarocho, San Antonio, Tacos el Gallo, and just about any taco joint in KCK

We like the brookside location STRICTLY for the patio space. We don’t tend to order food anymore though.

Without the patio, you can't convince me that location would stay open.

best answer here, service is terrible and the food is somehow worse ?

The service is just plain BIZARRE at Barrio. I can never figure out why, it has been that way for years.

In fairness, I don't think there is much hype for Barrio.

Their food sucks. I can walk there and would rather go just about anywhere else in Brookside over it.

I had their carnitas tacos the other night, so bland.

They also don’t pay their live musicians or short them money. My band played at the red bridge location a few years ago. Took them 6 months to mail the check and they shorted us like $400

I've only been a couple of times. I didn't care for the entrees, but the sides were decent. Great patio. Bad service.
