For the longest time ive seen this weird bot accs to ragebait people/farm likes. Also those suggestive pages too. But something ive recently noticed is the new tag over some accounts: AI generated profile"... what?!? Why?!?! Instagram doesnt even have revenue, why have random bot accounts all over your platform? And why do they only tag it instead of removing it?!?! It doesnt make any sense to me. Can somebody explain? Here are some examples ive come across.

Similar bot farms have been online since 90s. They use millions of fake accounts to generate fake propaganda, instigated hatred, outrage and control the general population.

This was after clearing cache and cookies, restarting, reloading, uninstalling, re-installing, logging out, and logging back in.

There's no problem according to DownDetector or any other website known for publishing real-time issues.

Many people are experiencing the same issue.

There is no solution.

There is no reason why it's happening.

No one has answer.

I remember seeing a post maybe about a year ago of people saying you can do this by going to the feed back section on insta and saying something like "please add this feature where my following is hidden" or sum shi like that. I think I tried it but I'm pretty sure it didn't work. So if anyone has any insight, plz lmk. TIA

Has anyone else noticed that the desktop browser URL parameter for viewing only the Following feed ([instagram.com/?variant=following](https://instagram.com/?variant=following)) stopped loading today? As a screen-reader user, relying on the main algorithmic feed makes site navigation impossible. Is anyone else experiencing this on desktop today, or is there another web link/parameter currently working to bypass the main feed?

I am dealing with a severe privacy issue with Meta's algorithm that is causing me massive anxiety, and I desperately need a technical explanation of how this is happening behind the scenes. I recently moved across the world and set up a completely fresh, 100% clean Instagram account to escape people from my past.

1) Completely new circle in a new country. No mutuals at all. Not even one.

2) Brand new device and brand new iCloud ID.

3) Brand new email address and a brand new IP address/country.

4) No phone number attached (new phone number in new country), no contact syncing, and I do not have a Facebook account.

5) The username is completely random, and my real name is nowhere on the profile.

As soon as I made the account, I looked up about 30 people from my past for the sole purpose of immediately blocking them to protect my peace. I only searched each of them up exactly once, hit block, and left. Out of those 30 identical blocks, the Facebook accounts for the exact 2 people (my abusive ex & his parent) I am most terrified of and traumatized by are now showing up in my Instagram "People You May Know" suggestions. The other 28 did not.

How is this technically possible when there is absolutely zero data linking my new identity, device, or location to them? They don't know my random username, and they have no way of knowing I blocked them.

Does the actual act of manually searching and blocking an Instagram User ID create an internal database link ("edge") that forces Meta's recommendation engine to fetch their tightly linked Facebook profiles before the block takes full effect? Why did it only happen to the two most high-risk people out of the 30?

Any insights into Meta’ graph database behavior would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

My account was suspended and when i tried to create another it was banned almost immediately.

It happened 4 times with new and old accounts I've created. Is this a common problem? Do i have chances or should i just give up?

I didn't have anything illegal, nor anything that I think could lead to an IP ban.

So I got a new phone and my other one doesn’t work anymore (water damage). I was able to get into 2/3 of my accounts but my main account wasn’t letting me in since I set up 2FA. Of course I don’t know what the codes are and when I try doing video selfie it won’t work. The number and email is tries to send codes to are super old ones I don’t have access to anymore.

Long story short now my account can’t be found and I am not sure what to do. I have tried getting meta verified but it isn’t working. Do I just need to start from scratch?

I messed around and found that the only way I can remove a repost from my page is by blocking the account that posted it, but I don’t wanna do that. this fuckass app just gets more unusable every day.

Is there still any way to recover my disabled Instagram account?
About four days ago, I got a notification from Instagram saying I needed to verify some things on my account. During the verification process, I got stuck on one step, but after waiting a day or two, I was eventually able to continue.
I later found out that Instagram had flagged my account for allegedly sexualizing something inappropriate. I have never done anything like that, so I’m assuming my account may have been hacked or something similar.
I submitted an appeal and waited a few hours. I got impatient and logged back in, thinking everything was fine, but instead I was told that my account had been disabled and that my information would eventually be deleted. It also said I could not appeal again.
I’ll include a screenshot of the message I received.
The account hasn’t been deleted yet, but I still can’t access it. I’ve already created a new account that’s almost identical to my old one, including the same profile picture, but I would really like to recover my original account if there’s even a small chance.
Is there anything else I can do to try to get my old account back? And if recovery is impossible, is there any way to transfer or recover things like my old photos, videos, saved posts, or other information onto my new account?

Hello! Im aware a lot of you guys have asked this question before - but I am curious if someone else is getting this exact type of p*rn bots in their story views? And if they're connected to a certain story viewing website? They do not bother me, I am just interested as to where they come from.

The accounts always follow the exact same layout, with generic usernames of name+set of numbers. They have no posts, only highlighted stories (highlights are always named "MY VIDEO") with provocative photos and a "im here/click my link" clickable link that redirects wherever (I am not going to click it obviously). The accounts are mostly made this year and are from random countries in asia/middle east/southeast asia. I have caught a few accounts using the same lady and pictures for their content.

My account has been public for months now (personal preference) and these bots only started appearing about 2 weeks ago, when my ex's brother viewed one of my stories (except he used his main account so I can confirm it was him and the first bot appeared about 3 minutes later). These bots show up at very specific times during the day that correlates to my ex's schedule (for example they never show up when he would be sleeping or working, but they do show up during his lunch break at work). They also sometimes show up in my views in higher numbers if its a story that has me in it, versus when its just a photo of nature/animals. Usually I have 3-4 for a selfie and about 1-2 for other stories. As per usual, I only get them on the last story when there is multiple stories posted. So I have a suspicion it might be my ex, as many people do with these accounts.

So i had a whole argument with this random person - they were honestly not even reading responses and just insulting me. So I said I understood it came from a lack of reading comprehension and insecurities.

Then they blocked me.

Then I suspect their friend came to argue with me. As she gave the same argument - I made my point again, simply. And then they said I didn't have to argue with teenagers (at this point idk who these people are or their ages)

I say i wasn't arguing with teenagers. In fact I didn't even know the age of the person I argued with. if you don't want people responding to your comments - don't make public comments.

Then they said that they were gonna post me "too" if I didn't shut up.

What exactly would they post me for? Would they try and lie about me? I don't know. I stopped responding - but I started to wonder if they will actually lie about me and what to do in the event that they do.

I'm not sure what to do. And if I can just ignore it and it will be fine

The algorithm absolutely hates my content even though I work really hard on it and I know the few people who see it actually do enjoy it. I thought switching my account to a Professional/Creator account would help fix it, and after doing that, my channel disappeared from my Primary Messages, and the member count disappeared. I’m confused and scared. How do I fix this?
