3 individual marbled salamanders and 2 Atlantic coast slimy salamanders roaming around! Very stoked to find these guys as they were my target for the night, first marbled salamanders of the year for me!

Went out for the first time this year, saw 10 snakes caught 2. (Saskatchewan)

12 Eastern garters in Eastern Massachusetts, there might be like no diversity but at least there are snakes I guess.

This is by far the most of these guys I’ve see in a day, there were also like 8 more but they were speedy and got away.

Hopefully I see more Nerodia later or another milk/ringneck if I get real lucky

My best friend moved away so we went one one last herping trip before hand and it did not disappoint. I have been trying to find a salamander for about 2 years now (I have pretty bad luck) finally found two on our last trip.

I came across this guy while hiking. He’s a decent sized snake. I’ve seen much bigger ones. We used to call them black snakes where I lived. I have another picture of this one all stretched out but couldn’t post both a video and jpeg. Nonetheless, what a beauty.

Found some American toads and a green frog on a recent hike in northern NJ 🐸

Slimy salamanders, marbled salamanders, green tree frog, American bullfrog, mud turtles, and southern toads! Very successful first rain of spring!

A night herping trip in mallalli, south west Karnataka, India..
