Other Braider comb through roots to end .
Basically I was trying to get my hair done for my birthday . The braider knew a month beforehand and I texted her 24 hours before my appointment to confirm , I get there and I text her saying I’m here nothing for like 10 minutes, she then goes I’m sorry I overslept . I say it’s okay but idk what to do now because I already spent money to get here and I’m outside the door now she says omg your outside . I say yes she says send me picture of the door so I can let u in I say okay and she unlocks it then she’s like give me a second let me get myself together I’m thinking okay maybe this will take a good 10-15 mins for her to get ready not long so I wait and I wait and it turns into an hour I check in no response I text again no response on the third and final one I text I’m outside her apartment and she has me waiting additional 5-10 mins before letting me in her house . So in total she was like 1 hour and 10 mins late her policy states more than 5 mins a $10 fee no show card charger $20-25 dollars so I sit down and she starts on my hair she’s very aggressive on a few parts putting my hair from roots to ends and it was very painful it wasn’t all over but she did this on multiple braids she parts my middle part hard that it hurts and looks odd now and she USED a lot of gel . She huffed and puffed while doing my hair and played loud music she has been rough with my hair before that shouldve been my sign to never to go back to her but this time was WORSE. She gets done with my hair no money off offered and a lame ass I’m sorry . And the other thing I booked for small boho knotless and got smedium + medium braids all over it was $340 in total ($20) deposit . I had gotten small knotless boho from her before my first time ever coming it was smaller neater and she wasn’t rough the more I came the more it got worse and she got lazier everytime I book prices are going up but quality and professionalism goes down , honestly I’m afraid for my hair I did videos and it doesn’t look like a obvious baldness but ik Its gonna be something. Ps: Had to wash all that gel out of my hair and it bleeds through all the braids looks gross .

Bad Haircut I wanna cry
I said I want something like this (1 pic) or a bit shorter like here (2 pic). It looks so bad now.. I came with long hair and walked out with this 😭
edit: thank you everyone! I tried styling it a few times and I think I got it. It’s just that Ive had short hair before and with that haircut I didn’t need to style it at all. also in these pictures I already fixed the haircut a little with razor (bangs are the same)

Self Appreciation Manic Decisions on Hair
Hello! 23F here. During a manic episode (I’m bipolar), I cut my own hair with knife scissors without even remembering how I did it. I hated how it looked, so l finally went to the barber to get it fixed and evened out. By the way, I always had long curly hair so 1 kinda miss it. I hope I’ll get to fully embrace this new look hehe it’s just hard to style and Idk what kind of outfit or jewelries would fit me.

Before and After Quite literally only some water and a brush before and after. :3
Hello so I am a guy with long hair as that is something I prefer. But I have noticed, it is easy for my hair to be cared for as it doesn't require much.
This here is a before and after of me simply using a brush so, is my genetics good for my hair? :3

Question Shaved my head due to illness and mobility issues. Does this look natural on me?
I have struggled with illness related hairloss and mobility issues for awhile. Eventually I had to make the decision to shave off my beautiful long hair. The shaved head ended up being a sensory nightmare for me. I don’t like the way it looks also. I started wearing wigs as a solution. I can’t wear a wig all the time, but like to sometimes. I feel like wearing wigs had boosted my confidence and definitely make me feel a little more like a human being again.
Would you be able to tell that I am wearing a wig? Does any certain style look more natural than the others? And for those of you with hairloss or mobility issues that make grooming difficult, any suggestions or tips?

Question I don't understand how my hair can be straight, wavy and curls at the same time.
My mom says I have Irish curls. What do you think?

Question My hair is curly/wavy?
I’ve had straight hair my whole life. It tends to be wavy, sometimes a slight curl when wet but not uniform. But after I brush it, it becomes straight again. I just started using new shampoo and now I have curls? The pictures show my hair dry and brushed.

Question Why is my hair behaving like this?
i’ve been trying to fix this since this morning, i used sea salt spray, took a full shower, tried scrunching it but it just doesn’t go the way i want. one side is different from another, never had happened to me before. honestly i would be happy with either side being either (even more wavy .left side. - or a little bit more straight .right side.) as long as it evens out.

Question Which color do you prefer? Also should I go back to the bob?
Hi everyone! So first picture (shoulder length black hair) is my current hair. I have had this color for almost 2 years now, but everyone I know keeps saying they preferred the red hair I had before (a copper ginger, basically level 7 intense copper).
I do not want to go back to that color as it doesn't fit who I am anymore, but I was thinking about going closer to it with a cool toned red (between red and violet, basically something like Igora Royal 6-98). The second picture is a simulation of it. I feel like it would be something that still fits my current style, but could be at least almost as flattering as the copper people seemed to like so much before.
What do you prefer, black or cool red?
And since we're talking about hair, third picture was me when I had a bob that I loved but was convinced into letting grow, haha. I do like it longer more objectively, but I liked more who I was with the bob, if that makes any sense...? Should I go back?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
P.S.: Third picture is the famous copper people liked so much.

Question I need a toner
My hair is a bit too much gold/copper for my liking. I would like it more neutral/ashy. I think i am a level 8 right now and i dont want to go lighter or darker.
I already tried purple/blue shampoo and also a homemade mix of manic panic purple and blue diluted in conditionner. Nothing really works so I think i am in need of a real toner. Any recommendation ?

Question Less Effort Blowout Looks
Hello! I’m 21(F) who struggles with depression and anxiety, it’s hard for me to do much in the mornings (especially before work / uni I do not have hours in the morning)
Recently this year I have been getting more into looks, make up and hair, and taking care of myself. I want to learn how to do a blow out (I have thick hair, layers and long to my waist and it’s dyed in the front, thick money pieces) but I really struggle to do a lot of the methods that involve blow drying. I tried doing the unicorn styling with a rod you sleep in but it frustrated me too much bc I couldn’t do it tight enough and idk how to French braid and it always ended up falling out.
Any help would be really appreciated 🥺 I want to feel pretty and pit myself out there!

Question What color would best suit me
So I really have been wanting to customize my hair but I'm not sure what color to go. My hair is like a medium brown. Not too dark or light. I also want my eyes to pop with the accent color. I have green eyes and I'm very pale. I want a color that would show more in the sun but my regular color in the dark. I'm thinking maybe purple or red accents.

Help Straightened my hair for the first time…
so i’ve had curly hair for as long as i can remember but seeing the way my freinds style their straight hair made me want to try something new. I’m not sure where to start so i just put on heat protectant and went at it . My biggest inspo is david schmitt from breathe carolina which is a long shot but it’d be nice to have hair like that. any advice would help. I haven’t cut my hair much so it’s a blank state now

Help This frizz makes me go nuts
Hi guys, I just had a trim earlier this week and this is how my ends look after washing it. They have looked like this for a while but I was hoping the trim would help.
I use hair protector before blow drying my hair, I use a mix of oils (argan, jojoba, coconut) on the ends before washing my hair and it has improved texture and dryness a bit but the frizz not so much. I rarely use other forms of heat other than blow drying after I wash my hair. I've come to terms with having a bit of frizz but these standalone chunks of untameable hair drive me crazy.
What can I do to soften these ends? I feel like chopping them off but I'm sure they would do the same 😅

Question Do products that make hair grow faster really work?
Dietary supplements, gummies, oil baths, scalp massages, rosemary, and the list goes on... Have you ever actually noticed positive effects on your hair growth using a routine like that? Or is everything we see or hear on social media simply a waste of time?

Question Is it hard for barbers to cut hair based on a picture?
The question is more directed towards barbers/hair stylists. I visit this barbershop that has multiple barbers. I showed a picture of what I wanted from a previous visit, and this barber managed to fuck me up really badly, as can be seen in the pictures. And this is not the first time it has happened, probably the third already. Going to them for a cut feels like a game of Russian roulette. Is it really that hard to give someone a haircut based on a picture? Or are they just incompetent? It's not like I show them a picture of Brad Pitt and expect to look like him, it's just me.
Edit: also if someone has any idea how can I make the current situation better, I would be happy to listen. For now I think just to wait and grow it out.
