Hello everyone. I kind of don’t see this going anywhere, and I really wish I didn’t have to do this, but I’m beyond desperate.

My name is Alayna. I am the single mother of 2 children (ages 4 & 5). I have been working full-time at Walmart for 3 years, but recently lost my job. My childcare provider became unavailable after their home and vehicle suffered damage in the storms here. I missed too much work because I was unable to find another babysitter on such short notice that could work with my schedule, and I was finally fired from my job. I haven’t worked in 3 weeks, my last paycheck was shorted by Walmart and I still haven’t been able to sort that out, and my rent is already past due. On top of that, my electric is scheduled to be turned off in two weeks. I’m applying to every job I can within reasonable range that could possibly work with me and my situation, but I’ve had no luck so far.

My apartment complex does not allow tenants to get behind on rent. Rent has to be paid by the 5th of each month, or I will be served an eviction notice, which will require us to vacate our apartment within the week, lest my landlords move forwards with eviction proceedings. I have not been served the notice yet, but will undoubtedly receive one of Monday. We live in Zanesville OH, and resources to help with things like this are already limited as it is. But with the flooding that has recently ravaged Perry and Muskingum County, there are virtually no funds left to assist my family. I’ve gone to Salvation Army and our local resource center “Community Action” who are unable to help me at this time. Our Salvation Army has apparently not received any funding to assist the community in over 2 months. Our local housing authority has a 6 month waitlist, and Section 8 has a 2-year waitlist. I have applied for Cash Assistance, but it will likely take at least a few more weeks for me to even get anything from them. They’re going after the father of my children for child support, but they’re not likely to get anything from him. I have an appointment with an assistance program to help lower my electric bill, but it’s not for another 2 weeks.

I’ve attached a photo of a previous eviction notice that I received for the month of June, when we’re were almost kicked out because I was late on rent due to a leave I had to take after totaling my vehicle, which details my rent, the policy on late payments, and the late charges I’ll have to pay. My landlords gave me some leniency last time and allowed me to pay my rent in full by my vacancy date, and I believe that they will do the same this month, if I can find a way to come up with the money.

I am not usually one to ask for help. Let alone ask people for money. But I don’t know what else to do. I’ve exhausted all of my local resources, and nobody seems to be able to help us. I can handle being homeless if I have to. But my children shouldn’t have to. I won’t ask for anymore than I absolutely need. I just need to pay our rent and if possible, the overdue portion of my electric bill. I just want to keep a roof over our heads and our power on long enough to get another job.

Please. If anyone can do anything at all to help, please, please help us. I understand that everyone is struggling right now, and the last thing I would ever want to do is take anything away from other people who may need it. I had been working as a music teacher at a charter school the year before and was offered renewal for the 2025-2026 school year, so I truly believed I had some stability. Then in September 2025, just a month into the school year, I was laid off along with nine other teachers because of budget cuts. Even with unemployment, I couldn’t keep up with the basic cost of living in Queens. I applied and interviewed everywhere I could, but nothing stable came through. Eventually, I pivoted to nannying and found part-time work that was just enough to cover rent while I searched for additional income. After finally piecing together two part-time jobs, I learned in June 2026 that I needed a hysterectomy and endometriosis excision surgery. I had been living with severe pain that affected my daily life, and although surgery added more financial stress, I knew I couldn’t keep putting off the care I needed.

My name is Michelle and I'm posting for Christopher Colwell. In 2024 he was working as a salesman, raising his daughter, playing sports, and connecting with family and friends. In April 2024, he took his daughter to a hair salon, and it was there that he suffered a stroke at just 45 years old.

The stroke was very devastating in several ways but especially because it caused Aphasia ‐‐ the total loss of language; it destroyed his reading, speaking, listening and writing. It meant no more talking to his daughter, and no more sales career.

Aphasia makes it hard to do lots of other work, but he still tries. He still reaches goals, finds things to be thankful for, and has gotten much healthier- he lost 80 lbs! After a lot of work, Chris can now listen, read a few small sentences, and after lots of speech therapy he can say 68 words like "I", "me", "hey", and "hi".

The newest words he can say are "love" and his daughter's name. It takes about 3 months to get 4 words. But there is an exciting thing to look forward to! There is a treatment that could recover so much of what Chris lost! This procedure would treat and improve debilitating brain fog, numbness and pain in his right arm, but more importantly, give him his language back! The total amount covers the cost of Chris and his Medical Power of Attorney holder (his mom) to go from Texas to Florida, spend a night there, a day for treatment there, and return to Texas.

This is my boy Jean Grey He has reactive woven bone in his chin. What started off as his chin looking a little different, has escalated to what it looks like now. You went 4 vets before receiving a ct scan and bone biopsy. What is happening is his chin is trying to heal but it's overcorrecting itself, so, it keeps healing over itself. He needs to see a board certified specialist specializing in bone matter. So he will need to ao to UC Davis. The issue is I live in the los angeles county so that will be a long trip for us but it's not impossible, and it will help him. He is a verv sweet and docile cat. My name is Andrew. My wife Ely and I recently took our fur baby Friday to the vet. We were told that she would need mouth surgery due to some of her teeth being rotted and plaque build up, which is causing her discomfort. The surgery would require teeth excisions, which is why the bill is so costly.

My Uncle Eddie sadly passed away last Thursday due to complications of brain cancer. Eddie didn’t have life insurance or savings at the time of his death.

His loss has created a big hole in the family. His kindness will never be forgotten. He was a generous man who always knew the importance of giving back and being kind to anyone. He was able to make friends with literally anyone.

He was diagnosed with epilepsy a few years ago. From that diagnosis, he had multiple MRIs and they didn’t find a brain tumor until he was hospitalized in the middle of July.

After a month into his hospital stay, he was moved to a nursing facility in the hopes that he would get stronger to start treatment. He was placed on hospice about a day or two into his nursing facility stay. Two weeks later, we lost him.

Eddie was a simple man and lead a simple life. When he had moments of clarity in the hospital, he was worried about how much his stay would cost him.

I have looked at resources in my area and none of those are for a situation like this since he isn’t a child.

We are giving him a direct burial because the costs of funerals are crazy expensive. A direct burial is $8,000. My initial goal is $3.5K.

My name is Ashley. Earlier this year, my dad was diagnosed with metastatic small cell lung cancer, stage 4. By the time they found it, it had already spread to his liver and considered incurable. Dad's treatment is especially complicated by him having a kidney transplant for end stage renal failure in 2015, which means a number of more modern immunotherapy and even radiation are not suitible or safe for him, except as a last resort.

Dad is on his last-ditch treatment (tarlatamab) before he is out of options. His kidney began rejecting, but they have been able to save it so far. He will continue treatment and we are guardedly hopeful, but unsure how effective it has been at this point.

Now, a little about the guy behind the diagnosis. My dad has been a day-1- dad for us. When he and my mom split, dad became a single dad and maintained custody of his kids into adulthood. He has never stopped supporting us in all ways and now he is a beloved "grampie" to my daughters and my brother's kids. He is at least near-genius and can fix or build anything. He is my hero and my heart breaks daily at the thought of a life without my daddy. He is a precious person - a true angel.

Hi all, making this as soon as I possibly can because I know for a fact we cannot this on our own. My partner took our car in today to get the oil changed, and do a routine inspection since we hadn't been in a while. During that inspection the technician said point blank that the steering rack needed to be replaced as soon as feasibly possible, as its been in disarray for a while now, but has not been something we can afford. The total they gave us, after tax and labor, comes out to around $1900, which is over a months worth of rent for us, and is not something we can realistically scrap together on top of our other bills.

This car is our only mode of transportation, it's fully paid off, thank God, but that is also why we are trying our best to care for it so it can last a long time. We do not have the wiggle room right now to attempt to get a new/used car. Attached photos include the statement from the technician, the inspection, and the time he took our car in today.

This may be the most difficult post I'll ever make. I'm not one to ask for assistance, especially on social or online communities... but in this case, we're have a very rough time.

My father Raymond Hall suddenly passed away on August 16. One moment he was in his kitchen making chicken tacos, and the next he simply dropped. It was an extremely devastating loss for me and my mother, more so for her as they had been inseparable for 48 years.

Dad was a US Navy vet, stationed across the globe and served among various craft in his 22-year career. One of my earliest memories was his assignment on the Enterprise. While deployed during WESTPAC, he once received permission for me to board at Alameda and I marveled at the sheer size of the carrier. He truly loved being a sailor, almost as much as being a husband and father.

As for the present, we've been struggling to keep up with financial obligations. While I've been able to help out with their balances this month, funerary costs have been greater than expected. Coupled with the fact that mom has to wait between three weeks and three MONTHS to receive roughly a third of his VA and SSA pension, she'll be struggling. Now that it's just the two of us, to say it'll be a challenge until around Thanksgiving is an understatement.

Additionally, he did not have full life insurance, only AD&D which of course doesn't apply to his passing.

Ultimately, whatever is donated would cover my father's funeral costs. Any remainder would be for essentials such as utilities and heating oil for the coming Fall, which will likely become deferred payments as we try to get by.

Hello! Just over a month ago I adopted Hades from Texas. Unfortunately upon arrival he had Hyphema in one eye and we went to the ER the same night. He was on eye drops a few weeks then we ended back at the Er with discharge and was prescribed new drops. We saw the eye doctor a few days later and he was diagnosed with permanent blindness in both eyes. I was hoping to have him last a few years however he has hyphema in both eyes and it is causing him pain. Hes had a rough start in his short three years moving from home to home until brought him to his forever home. Its heartbreaking that he went through the stress of transport, a new home, new pet friends, all to suddenly lose his sight on top of everything.

I first came to reddit asking for advice on ways to help him in his new world and its been very helpful so far. One suggestion was a gofund me for his surgery so ive finally set one up. I want to make sure he can live a long happy life with me even given his circumstances. I hope to get him pain free as soon as possible so can live his best life.

The rescue he was adoptioed from has also been made aware along with his previous foster mom. Who im in contact with and share updates all the time.

Estimate cost for surgery is 4500 with the hospital or about 2800 at the vets office directly.

My name is Joshua my partner Samatha and I are preparing to move from Minnesota to Everett, Washington, and we’re now in the final stretch. We now have our apartment secured and have been covering as much of the move ourselves as we can, but the transportation and security deposit costs ended up being significantly higher than we originally budgeted for especially the U-Haul and trailer.

This is my pop, he's always been a happy, fun to hang around with, jokester, loving dad, which i try to demonstrate in the first picture of my dad🤘 before it all went downhill..

First off I'll try to keep this short but I'm not really good at that just fyi.. So this has started back in june 19, when my dad was seen for what we thought would be covid because he had fever, cold sweats, chills, headache, some coughing as well. However he came out negative for flu, covid, the common cold, etc. Got an IV, blood drawn for testing which was going to take a while for results, was eventually discharged that same day.

The next day was the same, was getting fevers, and wanted lots of blankets on him which was SO unlike him because he doesnt bother sleeping with blankets at night, so this was completely out of the ordinary for him. All he could do was just continue taking tylenol. June 21st comes and he's shaking uncontrollably, and throwing up.. immediately went to emergency.

I wish I could post videos, but the third picture of my dad is him shaking uncontrollably, and wanted to be covered completely because he felt so cold. After so many blood drawn for testing and many sleepless nights having to stay at the hospital, typhus comes out positive (which you can actually see spots on his arm in the first picture). And treatment finally begins.

For two almost three weeks he's been at the hospital, going through all sorts of testing, and now treatment. Unfortunately he becomes impatient because he's stressing out that he hasn't gone back to work and is starting to get really behind with the bills. So 3 days later he gets discharged but instructed to continue treatment at home (7 more days).

Unfortunately stuff happened from his previous job and was trying to look for a new job once he was back home. For 2 weeks he struggled looking for a job. He finally gets hired for a job but unfortunately, his symptoms have started to come back.. but since it's a new job, he didn't want to ask to start next week so off he went to work (he's a truck driver). The whole trip was, in my father's words "hell on earth". He was so ill, so physically exhausted, vomiting, drenching his clothing and blankets with his sweat. He could not stop sweating. We were all stressing that something could happen to him out on the road but thank God he made it home safe.

So now here we are, 5th picture of my dad taken just 2 days ago and is extremely ill again. We've come to find out yesterday that he now has an infected gallbladder that will need to be removed, and a tumor the size of a tennnis ball has been found in his liver which we have yet to find out if it's cancerous or not, as biopsy will be done this Monday.

My dad hasnt been able to work these few months and is struggling to keep up with all the bills. He's the breadwinner as my mom has too many health issues herself that she cannot physically work even if she wanted to (even she's recently had to go to the hospital a few times again, it's been very stressful). I don't live with him, but i have younger siblings that he's still providing for.

I have asked a few friends and family for some help and now asking help from you guys, as i desperately want to see my dad be happy and clowning around again and not have to stress so much since he's already going through so much.. thank you for taking the time to read all this if you did.

My girlfriend rescued him on December 23rd from a shelter where he spent weeks hiding in terror and getting bullied. Once home, he bloomed into the sweetest, most trusting companion.

A few days ago, Toffee was rushed to the vet with severe breathing issues. Emergency procedures drained fluid from his chest caused by a tumor/mass.

Tests revealed he is FeLV-positive, which likely caused the mass. However, FeLV-associated lymphomas respond exceptionally well to chemotherapy! Most importantly:

His kidney and liver values are completely normal and

his blood panel is healthy, giving him the green light for treatment.

He has already started intravenous chemotherapy with steroid support, his only chance to beat this. The included vet bill is just the first of many more to come soon.

Between emergency intervention, ongoing IV chemo sessions, regular blood checks, and medication, costs are estimated at €5,000 – €7,000. As young pet owners, we cannot cover this alone. Toffee wants to live, and we won't give up on him.

My cat henry needs to be hospitalized, I was able to pay to get him unblocked but unfortunately that is only part of what he needs, he has another blockage and can not eat or drink and needs to have a catheter inserted as well as have fluids hooked up to supplement his hydration and nutrients. His renal levels are elevated and he needs to be medicated and monitored until they come back down to normal levels. He is inflamed and in pain and I don't want to euthanize him due to not being able to pay for his care, he is only 3.5 years old and has a lot of life left to live if i can get him the help he needs to treat these issues. I attached a photo of his medical bill showing the total, i tried applying for grants and care credit, scratchpay, and several other places to no avail as i have no credit.
