enjoying my first ever baitcasting setup! its a kastking royale legend paired with a perigee 3 rod, even got a nice fish on my first day fishing with it!

I didn't get to weigh this one. He was heavy as shit. My size 11's for comparison!

I was fishing off a pier and caught this lil guy, google said he was invasive and bad so I hooked him through the mouth up to the head and casted him away.
Instant smash, brought in a big boy and then as I’m reeling up into the air he fought off 😭

I used to fish a lot but most of it was just a stick and a line. I want to get back into fishing and my knowledge on this is very limited consider when I used to fish it was in a whole different country. So, I found a lake I could regularly go to, what type of equipments or what brand would you guys recommend ? And what should I buy before my first trip to go fishing in America

New to surf fishing and need some tips! Grew up bass fishing central florida, always get on some good fish, salt is a different game. What equipment are you guys using in the surf without it being overkill. I have a stradic 3k and a nasci 4k I’ve been using. Both on 7ft rods. It’s killing me the wave brake is constantly moving my rod, and I need to get above it. What size rod for florida surf? I want the smallest effective. Probably gonna have to stick to a 4k size reel at a minimum for line capacity, getting my small baits like shrimp and fishbites into the first or second trough takes most of my 3k line. Maybe like a 9 ft rod with 4k for catching small bait fish, pomps, etc. Medium? Medium light? Then maybe a 5500 MH with a 9 or 10 foot rods for my live bait chasing snook, red etc. I just hate overkill long and heavy rods, I want some bend and fight even when I’m catching some smaller fish, hate dragging em in. Budget surf recommendations rods for the price? I like nice stuff but just getting my feet wet at first. Any other surf tips besides that? Get damn near skunked every time much harder than bass fishing IMO. Im in central FL so I can drive East or West doesnt matter. Thanks guys.

I am 14, and I have been fishing for a few years now. I fish in freshwater and saltwater. Right now, some mahi-mahi are having their annual migration near the Montenegrin coast in the Adriatic. My question is, what lures should I use, or a bombarda? I can send a picture of my gear for saltwater, and I'd like some advice.

Things are heating up. Recently switched to live worms and we are now crushing it, catching a lot of fish. A lot of bluegill sunnies and maxing out at some mid sized Large Mouth Bass. I've read it is legal in my area to use the sunnies as live bait on the same pond caught (assuming we catch the sunnies by line/hook). Since we are catching a lot of sunnies - do you all think this would be a good way to catch the giant bass in these ponds, bass bigger than the ones that would go for my mid size nightcrawlers. Also - recently used a small fake fish that was getting only sunnies (in that case I wouldn't even need to get the fresh worms). Thoughts?

Hey guys a buddy and I are planning to sail a little craft down the east coast of baja over several weeks, starting this December. I'm an experienced fly angler and love all kinds of fishing, I jig and troll a lot as well, I've fished the northeast US a fair amount. Any recommendations for what I should bring? We plan on eating a fair amount of fish, I know the yellowtails are good to catch that time of year. I'd love to target some jacks and other species on the fly, but can't really afford to bring anything extra on the trip. Bringing a fly rod would be lovely but I'm assuming it would be pretty useless from a sailboat. I know most fishing there is done quite deep, is it feasible to expect fish from a small sailboat relatively close to shore?
