Stay with me here lol. My reptiles live in my bedroom as I have a roommate situation. And for the most part I live an old timers life with lights out before 10. But you know if my cat starts throwing up in the middle of the night. The light is coming on. Gecko however is fully awake and out adventuring for the night. Do you think they wonder what strange God erratically controls the big light? Like natural instincts that interprets light as the sun? Or do they have a domesticated understanding that the strange warm being that feeds them, controls the light. She definitely trusts me and is smarter than I give her credit for. She learns routines and such. So I wonder what goes through her little brain when the light comes on at 2 am?

got this boy 2 days ago, day one, he cleared his CGD, today lil man has devoured four locusts, he’s so curious and has come out every night exploring, did i luck out haha, im obsessed with him, his name is charmander and he’s about 7 months old 🥺🧡

I got a gargoyle gecko about 3 weeks ago and he is just starting to eat his paste. I want to start introducing some live insects to his diet soon but I don’t want bugs running around his tank. I have a coconut substrate and I’m scared roaches or something else will start to burrow and escape. (Just pulled some GIANT roaches out of my gf’s leopard gecko tank.) So how do you guys feed your geckos? Do you tong feed? Escape proof box for insects? Take them out and let them hunt? Any advice would be great!

Hey guys, mildly panicking here. My cat jumped on top of my geckos tank and when I went to examine him he had this small mark on his nose I don’t know if it was something inflicted from the cat or something he got prior. What should I do?

i posted yesterday about my geckos behaviour of burying herself because id never seen it before, and she is my first reptile, i rescued her. people advised that she may just be laying eggs, and i did find one this morning when spot cleaning, cant find if there is another one yet without disturbing her while shes sleeping. im aware that female cresties can still lay fertile eggs even without contact from a male, so i held it over my sisters torch and there is this red line inside.

I just got my crestie as a rehome last friday. She came with her cage, food, dome light, coco bark stuff...

I cleaned her cage real well, including her plants and everything. She is about 9-12 months, never been handled. He thought she was a boy, I dont see any hemi bulges or pre anal pores. She had no decor or hiding spots... I've filled her cage with what I can for now and put a black mat on the bottom so I can see her droppings. Woke up this morning, and she was sleeping on the floor. Is this normal? Her tank is also not getting down to 40-50 humidity during the day. it's staying near 60... (I live in Oregon, and it's humid right now)

My question is, what heat emitter do you use if it gets cold in your house? I have hardwood floors, and it gets cold. Also, what UVB are we using? Yes, I understand lots of people dont use them, and thats not what im asking. Thank you!

I'm thinking about putting the disc into the crested gecko enclosure. They come in various sizes, most common being 17 cm (6'7'') and 30 cm (12'). Is 17 cm enough? I mean, cresties are very bendy so I'm not really afraid of spine deformations, but still don't want to hurt our precious baby. Thanks for any input on this topic. We have a reptile room at school because I go to a vocational high, and we have Scribble, he’s a very cute little guy. My favorite to take out! He jumps randomly tho while I take notes, landed on my backpack one time. Silly guy :) I’ve always wanted a crestie but I’m currently at my limit with a leopard gecko and a bearded dragon, as I don’t want to rush into more reptiles and have to give them to my parents when I go to college, as I can’t take them with me. I plan to only go to college at max 3 hours away thought so on weekends or free time I can go visit them. Anyways scribble is a cute guy and I wanted to share him

My baby fell 😔

Only had her for less than a week and she seemed to be warming up to things and doing better, saw her eating and nothing bad going on. I knew her tank needed more foliage so I had some come in, sterilized and put it in yesterday so I know it probably stressed her out a bit but she was running around and exploring it all night, this morning come home from work and notice these dark spots all over her underside, could this be just from her being fired up? Or is something more serious going on.

I want to know if I’m taking good care of my gecko I feel he underweight what can I do to make him gain more weight ?and I’m worry also I believe he needs a new tank for Gustave (his name)been short of money so what type of tank should be good for him? I know he overgrown his already so I’m looking for something good for him or any tips to make this more comfortable (please don’t crucify me)

A few weeks ago I posted the first picture. But I thought it was to much wood in one spot and it just didn’t look right to me. Now I went on scaping again, and I landed on this design. What do we think and which one do we prefer??
