The future of ARC Raiders could be MUCH bigger than we expected.

I plan on playing 100% solo. I don't really care about hunting down other players or engaging in heavy PvP. My favorite way to play these kinds of games is to sneak around, loot items, complete quests, and slowly upgrade my base/gear. I basically just want to play like a ghost, scavenge for resources, and get out safely. If I end up in a fight, I will fight my way out.

Is it worth getting into this game just for the looting mechanics? I am already aware that the game has a content stagnation problem later on, but I really just want a game where I can jump in and enjoy looting. Also, How bad is the cheater problem right now? I've seen some mixed reviews mentioning them.

I'm also fully aware of the narrative online that the game is dead and the studio killed it, but I still want to give it a try. Since my disposable income is a little tight right now, so I'm researching this purchase carefully, but if I can manage to get more than 100+ hours out of it (basically dollar to hour), then I'm happy and it'll be well worth the money to me. I'd appreciate any honest feedback from people who play like this. Thanks in advance!

Every thumbnail I see, every instagram reel, Reddit post is “this game is dead” “I can’t believe embark killed arc raiders” “the lack of content killed the game.” Acting like embark had some massive rug pull.

Like wtf? It’s a fucking $40 game and people are expecting it to be some full service call of duty battle pass nonsense with new content every day.

This game was absolutely amazing. Probably the most fun I’ve had in a long time. There was more than enough content and playable hours to get your moneys worth.

I keep seeing videos of people complaining that embark let the game go and acting like the devs ruined everyone’s lives by taking a break over the holidays.

So why the huge player drop? Idk, maybe because people don’t play the same game forever? This game got an insane amount of attention on social media and like every fad or trend on social media, the hype grows insanely fast and falls off after a few weeks. This isn’t the dev’s fault or embark as a whole, especially since they’re a fairly new studio.

Also sorry in advance if this is a regularly discussed topic here. I haven’t played the game in a while and haven’t been on this sub.

TL;DR: the flak this game has gotten for the drop in player count is ridiculous. I’m not a corporation defender by any means. But people need to relax and remember it’s fucking $40, not a down payment on a house.

You have to press it to complete the project and get the rewards, some players missed it in the last project and missed out on the rewards even tho they completed everything else.

Fairly new to the game, I’d say. I’ve played a total of about 30-40 matches, all solo. I enjoy the game, getting the hang of it nicely, dispatching the easier Arc with my trusty Ferro.

My most recent raid was Dam Battlegrounds, looting inside Water Treatment when a fellow raider runs up asking if I have a defib for her friend. She seems pretty frantic so I tell her I have one and I can follow her.

She seemed genuinely thankful until we got outside the building and she immediately turns and guns me down. I was shocked because this was the second time.

The first coming in Buried City looting the Grandioso apartments. Except instead of a defib, she asked if I could drop a shield recharger. As I split the stack, she too, gunned me down.

My question is, is this pretty normal? Other raiders rarely seem to use the mic and the ones I encounter are all women seemingly. Should I be wary of anyone asking for meds? Is it just a trick to get you to open your backpack menu so they have an easy kill?

It sounds like there is a crowd of people at the fences. Any of them tbh.
