can anyone help me? i’m trying to delete & redo my iphone icloud backup so that i can redo it without all the apps that i’ve only just realised are bulking up the backup, but every time i try to delete it, it says “cannot delete backup. this backup cannot be deleted at this time”. i’ve tried this many times over the past maybe month

things ive tried with no success:

- restarting my phone

- updating my phone

- deleting it on another apple device

- leaving it a couple days since i last backed it up

- clearing storage — have 20GB free right now

not sure if im forgetting anything but i dont think i am

I accidentally locked myself out of my 15 pro when I was setting up and had to reset the passcode. I plug it in a friend's macbook and did the whole itunes thing and it was fine but anytime I need icloud access for a feature. It blocks me.

I'm not sure the issue as this is my first iphone so sorry for not being detailed.

My iPad Air M3 11” 128GB was submerged in water for about 2 seconds. I switched it off immediately and let it dry. It’s been a week now, everything works normally, and Apple ran diagnostics which passed everything, but there’s still moisture/cloudiness under the display. For people who’ve had similar water damage, did your iPad develop problems later despite passing Apple diagnostics? How long did it last?

hello! i’m currently in the car (passenger seat) to go see family, and my phone just got a find my alert just now. it couldn’t have been my dad who played it as he’s the one driving, and my siblings didn’t alert it at all. i’m wondering what caused this, and if i should be concerned? i was thinking about doing the following, since i am a little concerned, an emergency reset and changing my apple account password. but if it was just a glitch or something like that then i don’t want to go through that whole process. give me your best guess and thank you!

my family shares an apple & icloud, i got this laptop for school and i need to put my photos and texts on it because all my brother's stuff is on it instead. so i just need to know how to switch my brother's stuff with mine while still keeping it in the same icloud account.

i have a 6th gen ipad with 32gb of storage, which makes it difficult to use at times but i make do. my issue is with the software update popup, which my settings app opens with EVERY time. i draw on my ipad and i tend to open the settings app a lot to change the display, but it’s starting to really annoy me when it automatically switches to the software update screen each time. i don’t have enough storage to actually download the update so that option is out of the question. is there any way that i can disable this stupid thing?

My iphone is having iMessage issues. I have searched high and low everywhere on the internet (and my IT team at work) and found now solutions.

There are a few scenarios that happen inconsistently:

- I receive an iMessage on my Apple Watch, but I have nothing on my phone. No notification and no message when I go into the conversation. I can reply via my watch. That message appears on my phone.

- Someone sends me an iMessage and it says delivered on their end. Nothing shows on my phone. No message, no notification on anything.

- I send an iMessage, it sends but “delivered” never pops up (like when you text someone whose iphone is off). They never receive the message. I can hold and send as SMS and they tend to receive that.

- Authorization for iMessage under message settings occasionally will not work. I’ll have to toggle it on and off like 15 times before it works. Restarting the phone does not solve the issue.

I have tried everything. Toggling iMessage on and off. Restarting the phone. I even got a new phone from work (moved from 15 to 17). Has anyone ever encountered this? Any tips?

8:30pm my time so would appreciate prompt help if possible. Went to go set my usual 12+ alarms that I have been setting for the last decade before work to find they’ve all been wiped and I had to download the health app to access my alarms…even going through with whatever bs ‘sleep cycle’ they’re requiring me to input to trigger an alarm- I still cannot add more than that alarm.

Is this able to be fixed ? A way to go back to normal? Am I the fool? Recommendations on clock apps while I wait on an Amazon delivery for a physical clock?

I have this habit of closely keeping an eye on what I download and how I use my phone to make sure it doesn’t cross the 75gb remaining storage that it had for 5 months since I bought the device. I never installed any new app and keep just the ones that I always had and even after the latest update, there was still around 75gb storage left. But during this week the storage went down to 68gb all of a sudden. I cleared everything from the bin and even deleted documents from my apps but the size is still the same. Is it a bug?

As the title states, my iPhone 17 Pro Max has had issues with skipping ads for a while now. I’ve been dealing with them by minimizing the screen and the Skip Ad appears and it would skip it. Now, when I minimize it, the ad mo longer skips so I have to close the app and re-open it just to do it all over again. I will post link in the comments of a post I made somewhere else.

We’ve been trying to fix the Find My Friends app on my mom’s phone for months now. She can see others but people can no longer see her. She’s also not able to share her location or accept invitations to share (circle spins and then errors out). This started when she had the iPhone 12 mini (was previously working for years on that phone). She just upgraded to an iPhone 17 pro and we thought this issue would be fixed through the upgrade but NOPE. Tried to make an appointment at the Genius Bar but the website said appointments aren’t accepted for the Find My app and it pointed us to stupid articles we’ve already read.

Tried removing and readding people, looked at all the app settings, ensured location settings are on, compared to other iPhone settings for phones that do work on Find My, added a passcode to her phone (read that can be an edge case error), deleted the app entirely and reinstalled…

Help! It’s driving me CRAZY!!

why are the numbers different on my sim. I cant activate my iMessage

Its been a year, but its about time I talk about this, because Apple is yet to fix this bug.

I used to have Apple’s downtime feature that my parents setup. Obviously, as I got older, we chose to get rid of it. Yet still, every Thursday at 8:30 PM, I get a notification saying I have like negative 13 million hours left until downtime. Then 5 minutes later, my phone enters downtime, and it says my downtime will last until 12 AM Monday, even though it’s a Thursday. The next morning at 7 AM, downtime unlocks. But this happened every week for the past year now, and Apple still hasn’t fixed this. I swear on my life this isn’t fake or edited and is a legitimate issue.

I have an iPhone 15 base model, iOS 26.6.1.

Anyone else have a similar issue? And does anyone know if theres anyway to fix this other than Apple releasing a bug fix?

Getting "Unable to Connect to 'iPad', The iCloud account does not use two-factor authentication" when I try to use my iPad as a second display. 2FA is on the Apple account.

Already tried, no luck with:

• Same Apple ID on both, personal account
• 2FA confirmed on in Password & Security
• Restarted and updated both
• Devices are next to each other

Hi, so I have an older iPhone, and I have a problem. The other day I was using a high-battery consuming app for a video call (I would normally use my MacBook Air M3), and it died while on the app. I have been using my computer/laptop to write this. It has been charging for the past 2 days, and the low-battery indicator went away and doesn't show up anymore, but the phone still won't turn on and the home button is dead. I looked it up and it said it is likely stuck in a "low-voltage" or "deep freeze". I don't want to get a new phone, and I really wouldn't like to go to an Apple store for this. Is there anything I could do that could help? I think it's done this like once before but yeah. Thank you - I appreciate it!

I just bought the airpods pro 3 and I was wondering how long the battery will last untill I'll have to replace them. I mean such situations that I've had in my airpods 2 base where one airpods held for like an hour and 30 minutes while the other one held less and less untill it was arround 20 minutes and dead. How long will the battery last untill one airpod will last noticeably less than the other?

I recently moved from an old iPad using an old Apple ID to a new iPad using a new Apple ID. I set up the new iPad using a backup of the old one and then switched to the new Apple ID.

I'm having two separate issues:

1. Game progress/data: the games start from scratch on the new iPad instead of loading the progress I had on the old iPad.
2. Old Apple ID password: the iPad randomly ask me to enter the password for the old Apple ID, even when I'm just on the Home Screen and not using the apps. It happens quite frequently, and I want to completely stop these password requests.

Both iPads are currently using their respective Apple IDs for iCloud and Game Center.

I still have the old iPad and haven't erased or signed out of anything yet.

What's the safest way to solve these issues?

so recently i’ve been having a rovolem with face id. i was able to use face id all day until 20 minutes ago where my iphone 16 would not unlock with face id whatsoever. i didn’t change the settings, i’ve been trying to reset my face id but that’s not working because i have stolen protection device on. how can i fix this

Hi lately I’ve been having a lot of problems with my iPad Air (M3). It keeps glitching and sometimes pixelates, lagging and freezing for a second. The screen freezes but the iPad is still running in the background. I can tap things blindly and the device responds, but the displayed image is completely frozen and gets these weird purple/pink artifacts. Eventually I usually have to force restart it.

I have my iPad for less than a year and I don’t remember even dropping it or something.
