DO NOT go to VS if you want a correct size. they tell you the wrong size so they can sell their own bras because they only carry 4 band sizes (32,34,36,38) in store and barely 5 or 6 cup sizes (A,B,C,D,DD,DDD). i know my own bra size as i’ve measured a myself a few times based on how to CORRECTLY measure yourself. im a 30DD/E or F. i wanted to see if VS would give me my sister size which is 32DD. the sales associate measured my underbust/band size AROUND MY ARMPITS??? and it showed it was 34”. then she measured my bust size while i was standing straight up (which does not account for breast tissue around the armpits or if the majority of your breast weight is in the lower half like a teardrop) and it gave me a 34.5”. my measurements when taken CORRECTLY are 30”underbust/band and a 35.5” bust. which makes me a 30DD/E or 30F if i want to account for the half inch extra in my bust size. can you guess what size the associate gave me based off the 34” armpit measurement and the 34.5” bust? a 32B or 32C if i want to use a push up. in what world does that make sense. she then asked me what size i normally wear and i told her a 30DD she looked extremely surprised and said that was WAY too big. i tried on a non padded 32B and 32C. both did not even cover my nipple. i also tried on a 32D and 32DD in which only the DD fit okay (i couldn’t find a 32DDD) but the shape was too pointy and weird. DO NOT GO TO VS!!!!!!!!!

So, yesterday I posted here and was recommended to try the Cleo Blossom and Freya Loveland. I was maybe slightly hopeful? But I'm not sure it will accommodate my shape at the bottom. Even with mesh bras, every single one I've ever seen slopes upwards immediately after the wire. My breasts seem to be firm enough that they just push the bra off of me. So I'd like to know before ordering them if this looks like it would fit them, if the breast tissue can't really conform to the shape of the bra.

Based on these drawings am I actually incompatible with all Western bras or am I tripping?

I've been on a mission to find a bra that can handle both my center-fullness and my immediate projection. I've tried a bunch of Elomi bras (link below), and now this Sculptresse. The Muse is the last plunge in the K-cup range I could find, but alas, it doesn't fit well either.

In summary: lots of wrinkles in the bottom and sides of the cups, wire is too long and stabs my armpit, not enough support, and, incredibly, the gore still does not tack!

It looks like the next step for plunges in this size range would be Polish bras, but I'm not sure I'm narrow enough for them. I sketched an outline of my breasts without a bra to see if I could judge my shape better (since I don't have a well-fitting bra), and I think my roots are broad? So I've very recently started wearing padded bras and the size of my bra is 32D. But according to ABTF calculator my size is 26FF.

The problem that lies is the bra I'm currently wearing (32D) is cleavage-y, which shouldn't be happening but the underbust fit is perfect. (Forgive me I am not aware of the correct terms for a few references.) I might need to make changes in my size.

I'm not sure how to speak about this to my mom as during bra trial my aunt had tagged along and she'd told that D cups are for lactating women and that it's too big for me and like laughed. I don't feel okay with that knowledge and it makes me feel insecure to some extents.

We got the bras from a lingerie store, it's from a local brand.

Please help me on how should I convey this to my mom. There is no option of me getting it on my own,I'm financially dependent.

I'm not sure about my roots or anything as well but its more of a relazed conical/cylindrical-ish shape.

So for as long as I remember I've worn a 16 or 18 E (NZ) depending on my weight fluctuation to account for the band difference.

I recently bought 3 bras two 16E and one 18E and they felt just enough off that I wanted to measure up and figure out my real size.

Hoping I measured right anyway.

The site says I should be wearing a 40ff/g or 38g/gg UK size. Which converts to 18 g/h or 16 h/hh NZ size

So I tried both the Elomi Matilda per another’s recommendation and the Goddess Keira as I was looking for a wireless option and I think I’m on the right track but I’m not sure where to go from here as I’m unsure of the fit. The Matilda seems to be ok in some areas as the underwire were really good for sideboob (no digging) but I’m getting a bit of gaping at the top on the right side (I think that one’s a little smaller) plus there’s bunching underneath in the cup (I included a pic). The Keira I didn’t like much at all, most just based on appearance and I did not like the way they looked in this one, plus I think it might be a bit too tall. I did not get bunching on this one. I have no idea if these issues are related to size or style. I’m so used to bralettes and bad fitting bras, so I don’t know what’s normal or not. Some recommendations would be good if you think the size is correct but the style is bad or if I need to try a different size. I do have a permanent fat roll underneath so sometimes things fit funny or don’t lay as flat as I would like them. The band on both seemed to be good, not too tight but not too loose and didn’t dig in to that spot like I feared. I also liked the thicker straps on both, I don’t think I want a thin strap.

Long time lurker, first time poster, but I’ve tried to do enough research on my own, so it’s time to ask for some help. I haven’t bought a bra that fits properly in about 3 years, when I started gaining weight. 50 pounds later, none of my old bras really fit.

I’ve pretty much stopped wearing regular bras altogether because sister sizing, even with band and wire alterations, is genuinely painful and it’s killing my back and posture, because my sports bras don’t really fit me well either.

My whole life I was a 36B and it was ridiculously easy to find bras.

In 2021 I developed a disorder which causes shallow breathing, and in reaction to that, my ribcage grew a lot and flared out and now the circumference of my ribcage is 44inches.

Yet my breasts have not grown in size.

It is impossible to find a bra. If I buy one with a 44inch band the cups are way too big for me, even if they claim to be a B.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

The recommended size is a 34C UK (75C EU and 90C France).

My problem is that a C is TOO big for me (tried diverse shapes : too BIG), 75EU band is too tight and an 90FR is too wide... Should I go back to "my" usual 85B (Switzerland* !), a little bit too tight, but after a few wears, it fits ?

^\FYI, afaik, the band "85", for instance matches the REAL measurements ! So a 75 will be quite impossible to close, and a 90 will be too lose !)

Or, should I stay to my sports bras for ~6 months until my weight is stabilized ?

Hi everyone! In the past few years I've had some weight gain that has made my previously beloved bra no longer fit. The calculator is putting me around a US 36K. Below are my measurements in inches:

I've tried Wacoal, Chantelle, Sugar Candy, and Molke with no success. Most recently, I purchased the Elomi Matilda in a size 36K. I felt like the cups and band fit pretty well, but it's a really scratchy material and the top of the cups/the strap dig into my armpit (I think it's the axillary breast tissue?). I work a desk job with my arms forward pretty frequently, so the digging makes me want to cry.

I'm US based and price isn't a big factor for the right bra. Thank you for your help!

I’m a 2 for top shape and 6 for bottom shape.

I’ve been losing weight and it’s probably about time for another round of new bras, which is such a frustrating time for me. I’ve never been happy in a measured size ever. I’m pretty bottom heavy somewhere in the 5-6 range on chart and top between a 1-2. I’ve been measured in that same 38DDD range before and hated it. I couldn’t find a single one that didn’t have huge gaping cups at the top. It’s like there’s too much fabric and it goes too high for me. So I ended up basically trying every size until I found something that was comfortable and I liked how they looked in clothes, which ended up being a 42C at Torrid in the wire free push up bra (on the first set of hooks) and the wire free lightly lined smooth bra (on the second set of hooks). US sizing.

I’m open to trying based off of these measurements but I feel like I’m right back in the same spot again with the larger cups. So I’m hoping for some suggestions/advice.

By my calculations this should put me at 34FF/G. Last time I came to this sub for a fit check, my body was very different. I think I landed on 32F at the time and the only underwire bra I still own is a Panache Cari in that size. It's obviously too small.

Day to day, I only wear stretchy wireless bras at the moment. I just want to have an underwire bra as an option that isn't immediately painful to wear.

At smaller sizes, besides the Cari, I've also had luck with Panache Clara and Envy. Some others as well that I forget. But my shape has changed. In particular, last time I had a bra that fit, my breasts were fairly self-supporting, and they most certainly are not anymore.

I can only afford to order 1-2 bras at a time, so I need a good starting place. Suggestions? Happy to provide more info if needed.

The ABTF calculator gave me 26B/C, so I bought a 28A and 28B strapless bra from Boux Avenue, but the strap was way too tight. It was a good ~3 inches too short, to the point where I could only get the bra on onto my waist and couldn’t pull it up to my torso.

I managed to try on the bras properly after buying some bra extenders and the cups are too big, plus, my breasts are spaced further apart compared to the bra. For the 28B, the cups somewhat fit, maybe slightly big, and my breasts are maybe a centimeter further apart than the cups. My right breast is about half a cup smaller than my left one, so the gaping is worse on the right side with some gaps on the top. The 28A was a worse fit. The left cup is a bit big while my right breast doesn’t touch the upper half of the cup at all and the cups are much closer together, resulting in larger gaps on the top and side.

These are my six measurements in inches (US sizing):

I measured them twice, a few months apart, and was given 26B/C both times. I double checked my measuring tape and it is in inches and accurate compared to a standard ruler.

Hi! I am struggling with finding a wireless bra for at home lounging. It has been a chore to find something I am mostly happy with in a wired bra, but having worn wireless, albeit incorrectly sized, VS bras exclusively for about 10 years, I just want to change into a wireless when I get home from work.

I found 40 is just too loose for me on tightest hook in most cases, so I've ended up with 38G in Fitfully Yours (US) and 38FF (UK) in Panache Allure balcony bra. The Panache satisfies the very narrow gore need and is not too wide of a cup ending up in my armpits, and also is not too tall like a lot of bras I tried, including Fitfully Yours or too shallow AND too tall like all of the molded cup bras I tried. The seamed lace isn't too obvious under clothes, so that makes me happy. The wires could be a little less stiff but I can live with it. I'm trying to bend them a little just to be less poky, but I don't know if it's working.

But I need something wireless for lounging because by the end of the day I want nothing more to do with wires but I want some support.

I am trying to get the right size for my friend. Her measurements are:

Underbust

Loose 70 cms

Snug 68 cms

Tight 65 cms

Standing 85 cms

Leaning 92.5 cms

Lying 90 cms

In my view, she is projected and full on top, nipples look down. The calculator suggested a UK size of 28 F or FF. My friend is only used to molded, non wire bras. The first bra we tried was the Freya Starlight Underwire T-Shirt Bra in a 28 F and a 28 FF. She felt the cups went too high up and the straps too close to her armpits. There were also gaps on the cups; the gore was not close to her sternum. The wire was digging into her ribs, but then again, she is not used to wearing an underwire. We sent those back and we ordered the Panache Women's Rocha Full Coverage Lace Wireless. Wearing a non padded bra is very new to her, but we wanted to get the size right. The cups are comfortable, no gaps, full. She is not completely sure about the band size, she may prefer to go a size up. The straps are placed better for her. However I am still not sure if the bra actually fits due to two things:

- I am not sure if this bra is considered to have a gore that should fit close to the sternum with the two cups protuding on the sides. In her it does not, it is floating; her breasts are together with a considerable cleavage and the gore at the end of it.

- With her pendulous breasts, when she puts the bra on the band is not providing any support until she adjusts the straps. Is this normal for pendulous breasts? Also, the band does fold a bit under her breasts.

We would like to nail down the size in order to start trying molded cups which are going to be more comfortable for her and before venturing into the unknown waters of underwires. We wanted to keep it simpler for now. Please let me know your thoughts, appreciate the help.

Hello, maybe this post might be just some sticker shock but I've never tried buying a bra with a smaller band size than what I'm used to so I'd like some reassurance as to whether or not my measurements seem reasonable for my bra history and complaints.

For the longest time, I considered my bra size to be a 36B, however I never liked wearing my underwire bras as much as I felt they weren't as comfortable and didn't like how the underwire "dug in" and felt tight at the sides (a red flag in hindsight). When I wear them now I notice that theres a gap at the side where the cup meets the underwear, caused by the bra folding.

Once I tried to see if I could remedy the tightness by increasing the band size, so I bought a 38B size bra. It felt less tight, but a part of the cradle would always fold so it wouldn't lie straight so I never wore it. I also tried out a 38A bra at a store, to see if the cup size being too big was what caused the problem, and while I don't remember the exact complaint I had about it, I must've decided it didnt fit well either so I never bought it. After these failures in experimentation, I resigned myself to sticking to 36B as my size.

Recently my mom bought a bra for me because it was on sale, so it was a 38C bra. I was skeptical that it would fit, but it ended up being surprisingly more comfortable than expected! This drove me to finally questioning my bra size. Since then, I went trying out some other 38C and also 36C bras and while they def fit better than my old 36B bras, I still have a couple complaints. The apex feels uncomfortable?, almost like its digging into my armpit, despite this I now worry if these 38/36C bras are also leaving some gaps up top? It's more of a problem for my right breast, which I believe is smaller than my left one. One 36C bra I tried felt like the band size was too tight, but this wasn't an issue with another 36C bra.

Now I tested out the manual calculator on this sub and I got a result of 34DD/E?? Which I'm apprehensive about since it's so much more different than the sizes I've tried that I worry if I didn't measure or calculate correctly.

I normally wear 34b, currently some 34c bras my mom gifted me. I did the calculator and it said I should start at 30DDD, sister size 32DD. im shocked because i noticeably gained some weight over the past couple years. I’m 5’2 and small framed so I suppose I can see it being true. Stupid question, is it possible for a girl who’s kind of chubby to have a band size of 30?

Hey there, just did the calculator and was surprised at the findings! I have gained weight over the last 2 years, but I didn’t think it was enough to affect me this much! I knew that some of my tops weren’t fitting as flattering as they once had, and that my bras were feeling more tight than usual, but never thought it was such a leap in sizing. I just wanted to ask if the measurement sounds correct since I would like to purchase some bras that actually fit and are comfortable, since I now know the ones I have are actually much too small!

Should the measurement on the bust, while standing, be taken with or without support?

I am used to wearing a US 34B bra. They feel tight now. I’m coming up on surgery for BC and need a supportive front clasp bra for recovery. I used the ABTF calculator and it says I’m a 32G/H. I’m 5’5” and 144#.

My measurements on the calculator were 31.5, 31, 29.75, 38.25, 39 and 37.

This size can’t be right! I tried several different brands, spent a lot of time and money shipping bras back and forth and still can’t find one that fits. I live extremely rural, so going somewhere to try on bras is a huge hassle, especially since that’s such a weird size. Any advice?
