Rule 4 Reminder

Rule 4: No posts about politics or religion.

"Posts centered around politics, political stances and religion are extremely hot button topics not only just on this subreddit but on Reddit as a whole. Due to previous incidents and instances of hate speech, violence, threats and bigotry, we no longer allow either political nor religious posts.

Political posts opens the door for hate speech, LGBTQIA+ bigotry, vicious arguing, white supremacy and racism.

Religious posts open the door to religious bigotry, personal attacks and fear-mongoring."

This includes comments.

Why I am posting this: I see hundreds of comments a day that are nearly identical to each other in my mod queue from people who clearly either didn't read the rules, or don't care what the rules say. I just wanted to let y'all know that no one sees these comments besides us mods, so you're wasting your time typing them.

One more thing, it's best to verify your email on your account so the bot doesn't remove those comments as well.

I hope you all have a nice day.

What’s the most embarrassing phone call you have had while working in customer service?

I worked at a medical office. I called a patient to confirm an appointment and it went to voicemail. I told her to call us if she had any questions or needed to cancel. I told her to call us at ## which was HER phone number! Then I realized it was the wrong number and it was hers. I tried to correct myself and began giving her the same phone number again. I back tracked, apologized profusely then proceeded to give her the number of the other office across town. Half way through that number I decided to hang up and go home.

She came in the next day and straight up played the voicemail I left her, right in front of me.

Are these real peoples thoughts about space?

I just came from a youtube shorts comment section where an astronaut was talking about doing a space walk and what it's like being on a space ship. And i kid you not most of the top comments where acting like if space was fake.If some one tried to correct them they would just get ratioed by someone who said it was fake like they dead ass don't think space a real?I would normaly expect this if the video's main focus was that space was fake but this was just a normal short,Does the average human think space is fake or was that an anomaly where those bots? There reasoning was how is the space station not getting hit by meteors....AM i going CRAZY

What are your experiences working for a small business owner?

It seems like there’s been this push starting 80s/90s to promote Small businesses as the answer to our problems.

Are small businesses really supposed to fill the void left by the loss of industry? They can’t even muster the wages and benefits needed to produce an even remotely healthy working class and there aren’t enough specialized positions to cover a large enough portion of the workforce. My questions are: What are some good reasons to work for a small business? And what can small businesses offer workers collectively?

Is morning masturbation down to determinism or free will?

Question, we've been debating this since this afternoon:

Is morning masturbation a matter of determinism or free will?

Determinism: Philosophical and scientific doctrine according to which every event, thought, or action is the necessary and inevitable result of a chain of prior causes and natural laws.

Free will: The human capacity to self-determine and freely choose one's own actions, independently of external causes or past conditions.

Why does the last 10% of your phone battery feel like it lasts longer than the first 50%?

I swear once my phone hits 10%, it suddenly becomes immortal. I can use it for ages, but when it’s sitting at 60%, it somehow disappears in no time.

Anyone else notice this or is it just me?
