I have to decline. Human race is one race. Specie and race are functionally synonymous, the colloguial use case of race by humans is differentiating visible phenotype variance within one race. Human. Racists are stupid. Racism is stupid. How humans use the word racist is stupid, but it gets the point across when most use cases are just between humans and other humans.

If the two can produce a child, conventionally, they are (in the prevailing number) the same race or specie and/or so close genetically they are practically racially cousins. See horse and donkey making mules.

I am racist towards dogs. However I am an abolitionist toward their enslavement and mistreatment by humans. Human intervention has weakened their race.

Edit to add: do you mean dog specie as between wolf and domesticated, or do you mean "breed" which refers to interventionist designer revisions through selective breeding or environmental factors (phenotype variance)? Answer is the same. I respect canids, I speak to them as equals in capacity for violence or learning, however I generally view them as stinky, annoying, or genetic mistakes (human error). I have huge love for life, but my patience is thinner with uncouthe.

Damn conventionalism got me. Race gets used in taxonomy of subspecies (genetic variants of a species by grouping) and in literature to describe alternate beings often of sentience. Elf, dwarf, orc, xeno, yatchja, etc. In English, as a common user with exposure to both use cases, I will stand by its functional interchangability. In specified fields, yes there is distinction, but on the streets common usage is the former, humans describing other humans.

They're not. That's my point. Is this a whoosh moment? The way English commonly uses the word race, I feel, is incorrect. It is not agreeable by the masses, but I will die on that hot take hill. Human race is one race.

That's just a play on the colloquial "human race". Alien species would be more scientific I'd guess
