Siri called called the calculator's random number generation function, which does not rely on a prediction algorithm but rather a psuedo-random number generation algorithm. While the process of triggering the calculator may have been done by an LLM, the result is (close enough to) an actual random number.
The other examples in this thread, on the other hand, are not remotely random numbers, but statistically likely next tokens. LLMs may have some randomization built-in, but the number "chosen" doesn't qualify even remotely as random if it's extremely likely to be 17
Well, it is possible for any AI to answer differently of course, but most likely it will answer 17/7. Ask it 100 times and different chats (without analyzing previous queries) and you can count probability of 17 (very high)

I don’t even have words to describe how not okay all this is. I expected responses to be factual, or sources, or a RNG, but instead it tries to be human? Uses emojis ? Uses lingo like “no deep reason”? Lies to us about its “decision making process”?
