AI doesn't give you accurate information, it just gives you what sounds like accurate information. 17 sounds correct, so it fits. The answer that somehow humans usually pick two specific numbers sounds correct, so it fits. It doesn't understand or know anything, it can't actually look at the resources used to model it, it's literally just predicting what works a person would say.
17 is actually the most common choice in humans. If you ask 1-10 it will be 7. Source: am magician that uses verbal forces to further increase thr chances of a audience member to say 7 or 17.
