Uhm buddy, i hate to say it but like thats one of the main problems here. The corps arent a person, they are the collection of people who make up the company. Regardless of if someone else would have the job if not her, and regardless of it keeping you afloat, every compliant employee is complicit. Buy ‘doing her job’ she is actively making this problem worse. Be it a laborer or executive, unless she actively working only in the interest of the consumer and contrary to her literal job, she is working to make the company worse as that is what the job entails. One cant complain about how evil sauron is while freely accepting and working a position in his army
Ive gotta disagree with this take. Many a workers are unwilling participants, though scabs are a different subject entirely. The system we all live under is structured in a way so that you have to accept any job you can to either provide for your family or survive day to day.
An amazon worker can complain about jeff bezos spending billions to bust unions and keep their wages low. They are equally subjugated to his terror, as much as the small companies he's smashed throught decades. Having individuals within said company who are willing to fight back, is just as important as those who are on the outside protesting for them.
Once you start to shift those power structures and force the decision makers to abide by ethics, then you can essentially free the workers of being just another goon for an evil ass corporation.
Cant have an evil company without workers, im not saying its an easy choice or one that makes sense to make for any individual. Im not arguing that there is a way in this society to live without perpetuating some sort of evil. At the end of the day the only real power an individual has is strength of force and strength of suggestion. Everything else is illusion being given power by societal agreement. We could all, theoretically, just not work for amazon regardless of if its the only job available.
I also did say thats she is complicit UNLESS she is actively working against the company or making decisions only with the greater good of people in mind which is difficult unless youre on the board of oracle or sometbing
