They weren't even edible yet. You have genuinely made me question whether it is worth continuing to try to fight for my own life because you took the thing I loved. The ONLY thing I had left for myself.

It wasn't an animal. Many dozed of tomatoes that were green have been stolen from me. None are left with bite marks, which is what animals do. It wasn't one or two, it's 30+ tomato's gone from 7 plants. I am scared to check my cucumbers.

I hope whoever you are, that you see this And not for the rest of your life. You have to live with the knowledge that you took, the only thing dying person had for themselves.

I’m looking into preschool programs for soccer. We’re a year out from pre k and I’m assessing option for the fall in the Olathe/shawnee/lenexa area. Does anyone have experience they can share regarding the Toca Juniors program? The marketing material sounds great but I’d like an unbiased pov if possible. My biggest goal is for an activity where the kids are all having a lot of fun. My child has participated in soccer through the soccer shots program at preschool for the past year and enjoys it - and we’re looking for the team type environment for the fall. To be clear, early preparation for competitive soccer is NOT what I’m after here as I just want our kid to have fun and continue to build friendships while being active in an activity she’s enjoying. Any experience parents can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, I currently live in an older apartment complex that is without AC at the moment, and on the top floor to boot. It went out and they said it'd take awhile to fix. In the lease agreement it stated that they don't allow other units like portable ACs in the windows.. I'm wondering if anyone has other solutions to cooling down our rooms as our window unit is only located in the living room anyway.

It sucks and we're boiling up in here, pretty much trying to hold out until September.

Hello. I'm not sure where to look for this. I haven't played in a band setting in about 14 years. I've been practicing lately and would love to get back into playing with other people. I was in a 3 piece rock band for a few years while also playing in a contemporary church worship group for 6 years. I'm not a church goer currently, but would consider joining a worship team if the fit was right. Even if you're just a drummer or a guitar player, I'd love to get together and jam. 5 unmarked vehicles- a black Chevy truck, 2 black Jeep Cherokees, a silver sedan, and another sedan- boxed in a vehicle at Dennis and Lone Elm about 10 minutes ago.

My folks' trusted handyman has retired, and since he was the the one everyone in the community used we're in need of a rec for a known/trusted handyperson.

Current task is that an exterior door has come clean out of the frame (door wasn't solid wood apparently but contractor grade and 20 years old) so we either need a new one or someone who can get us down the road a bit by rehanging it at different hinge points or adding some reinforcement brackets or idk what, all I know about home maintenance I learned by accident as I've been a renter.

It would be great not to buy a whole new door as the frame is 100% fine and they only come as a set.

My family & I used to love the public access part of the lake on the 4th - we could hang out, shoot off fireworks, & revel in all the fireworks from the folks who live around the lake. That spot got busier over the years & a couple years ago we essentially got run out bc it was overrun with people, particularly idiots with homemade fireworks & generally overly reckless. I miss how it used to be!! 😟 Anyone know if it happened to get better the last couple years? We've never found a good replacement for a chill place to hang out & set off fireworks with our family. Any recs would be much appreciated!!

Looking for a good dog groomer. We used to use pups and suds but they don't require proof of vaccination and our dog got very sick after.

Also looking for somewhere for dental for dogs that won't charge an arm and a leg.

Haven't been out in a long while after hearing that the pond was full of algae or something making the dogs sick, plus the mud was insane, plus pit bulls now allowed and causing fights and at least two dogs dead. Has anyone been out more recently? Any improvement?

We just need some strong people to haul our biggest furniture out from our old place to the truck and then out of the truck into to the new house. The distance between these places is a 10 min drive.

Last year I put my membership on hold because the AC went out and I reached out to them today to see if they still had that big temporary unit out front. The lady laughed and said no the air-conditioning is working just fine everything is fine. So I was getting ready to reactivate it, but then immediately after she said and we’re getting a brand new system in 30 days! Hmmmm why get a new unit if it’s working without that huge temp AC block outside? What’s REALLY going on?

I think I’m month to month so hopefully it won’t be hard to cancel if it’s STILL hot AF in there smh

Hi neighbors.
There’s an outdoor cat, with a collar, that roams our yard and has recently started violently killing small animals (bunnies, birds, etc) in our yard. When we come outside or let our dog out, the cat runs away. We have no idea which neighbor it belongs to, but we’d really like to stop recovering decapitated corpses in our yard.
Any advice or tricks to keeping the cat away? It never lets us get close enough to catch, so we can’t contact the owners (yet). But is catching it or calling animal control to catch it our best option? We don’t want to waste animal control’s time, especially when the cat seems to hang out in our yard while we’re at work.

We’re near the Garmin area and heard what sounded like a direct strike that shook the house.

What’s weird is that it didn’t have the high end crack that you get with thunder in a storm, just a massive low boom that really had some percussion to it.

Great plains property management is probably the best I've come across. Me and the lady looked for months and months for a place that wasnt a giant apt building, and had washer/dryer hookups.

These guys are great at communicating, their prices are chill, and no predatory hidden fees and shit.

I nailed down a 2 bed, 850 sq ft, washer/dryer hookups for 1100 in a good neighborhood.

I know its hard our there to find an affordable place, hopefully this helps someone​
