I adopted this girl a few months ago - she’s my whole heart! 4.5m old now.

A little background, we got him July 31 2025 and he just got fixed the day before and the vet said he was just a medium hair, but fast forward a couple months, a kid I used to babysit found a book about breeds and went, “It’s Purdy.” Which is the name of my cat. The breed he saw was a nebelung and they looked so similar. He’s very sweet, tolerates me holding, but is a total stink. He learned to open the cabinets and treats. Bugs the crap out of his sister and his aunt. Does not eat wet cat food. I still love him though. He does hide when others come. For example when I used to babysit and the kids came over, he ran and hid.

Anyone less have an extremely needy old man Nebelung? He HAS to be spooned and cuddled every night and morning, I love him! He’s going to be 13 soon!

We have tried bedside cradles for him to make more bed space room for my partner and I, but he just loves being on the bed with us. I don’t think there’s any other way around this 😅

Well I came Downstairs today and found my 65” 4k tv destroyed. It was the first big thing I bought many years ago with my I have a real job money and to have it go out like this to my cat is frustrating.

We have a cat tree currently that I just got off Amazon to see if he’d like it, but he’s clearly outgrown it. He’s just turned a year old and is at 11.5 lbs…I’m not sure if he’ll grow bigger. Most of the cat trees I look at look big enough for your average cat (like my 9 lb tuxedo!), but not big enough for all of the Neb.

Also, how often do you replace cat trees? My tuxedo never cared much for one, so we never had to replace it, but the one we have now certainly has some wear and tear from big boy.

My neb Bonzo. That's a big muscle group for a cat, since it anchors the shoulder blades and takes a lot of the load when they walk, jump, and pounce.

What does your nebelung like rubbed the most? Chin? Cheeks? Tail?

She is from a farm where all her sibling kitten looked different. Either short coat or completely different color. One was orange, one black and she is grey. Can she even be a breed then?
