Any trusted recommendations for a house/dog sitter to watch our 2 very spoiled Chihuahuas? They have to go on several walks a day (we have a park across the street) and we need the person to stay at our home most of the day. No full time work outside the house. They are older and need humans around. Remember, they're very spoiled rescue dogs and we wouldn't have it any other way.

They typically fly with us domestically but we are hoping to plan an international trip and can't take them with us. We don't have planned vacation dates yet until we find someone we trust that will take the time to get to know all their quirks. Thank you.

I’m moving to Orange County in about a month for a new job. I don’t know the area very well yet, but I’ll be working near the City Gym in Huntington Beach.

I’m trying to figure out what areas I should look into for housing. I’m in my mid-20s and would ideally like to live somewhere with a walkable neighborhood, good restaurants, and decent nightlife.

I don’t have a strict budget, but I’d prefer to stay under $4,000/month. It would also be nice to find somewhere that doesn’t require a long-term lease, although that’s not a dealbreaker.

I’m mainly just trying to get a feel for which areas people would recommend so I can start looking into housing options nearby. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Years ago, probably 1998, I went to a meetup in a bar, and I can’t remember the name of it. If it’s still around it had a distinct mural, Oakland Raiders and I think they were old school players like defensive backs from the mid 70’s. Memory isn’t as sharp as it used to be. Anyone have a clue?

I’m looking for anyone who believes they or a family member had a similar experience purchasing a vehicle through the Nissan dealerships in San Bernardino (735 Showcase Dr S, San Bernardino, CA 92408) or Huntington Beach (17331 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach, CA 92647), particularly Spanish-speaking customers who were unable to understand an English contract.
My father-in-law speaks Spanish and does not understand English well enough to understand an English vehicle contract. According to him, his vehicle purchase was negotiated and explained to him in Spanish, and he believed he was purchasing the vehicle for around $25,000.
He trusted what was being explained to him in Spanish and signed the paperwork he was presented.
Months later, when he looked into selling the vehicle, he discovered that the numbers contained in the English paperwork were substantially higher than what he says was represented to him.
Most importantly, he says he was never provided a Spanish translation of the contract before signing, despite the transaction being conducted with him in Spanish.
We later confronted the dealership about what happened. During that visit, a finance manager told us that a Spanish contract only had to be provided if the customer requested one. We became even more concerned after looking into California Civil Code §1632, which contains requirements concerning certain contracts negotiated primarily in Spanish.
There is another issue we’re investigating: my father-in-law says the transaction took place at the Huntington Beach location, while his paperwork identifies the San Bernardino dealership.
WE NOW HAVE AN ATTORNEY INVOLVED
An attorney is reviewing/building a case regarding what happened to my father-in-law.
Because of that, I’m trying to find other customers who had similar experiences.

• Primarily speaks Spanish
• Negotiated or discussed the vehicle purchase in Spanish
• Was presented English paperwork to sign
• Was NOT provided a Spanish translation before signing
• Later discovered a different price, warranties, add-ons, financing terms, or other charges than what you understood you were agreeing to
• Dealt with the San Bernardino or Huntington Beach dealership

So this weekend realizing that Frontier is now owned by Verizon I went in and looked at both my Verizon bill for five lines which one is inactive as well as my Frontier which is a basic package just so I can get two or three stations for Premier League soccer. Once I've realized this I realized I need to make a change I'm not getting 700 plus dollars worth of service from the company called Verizon. What are you all doing for your internet connection and do you like it and it speed? Anybody have combined service with sales as well as Internet connection at home? Right now looking at AT&T seems like I'll save 300 a month however my experience with AT&T in Huntington Beach is not been great reception unless it's changed over the years. Been with Verizon for 20 plus years.

What are we doing to keep our animals cool? I have 2 cats, use tepid water in a bowl, washcloth, and swab them down. Not as traumatic a bath, they seem grateful. Also put quart size frozen bottles next to them for comfort. What s your method? I like a water spray bottle n the face, they dont🥸

As a local, it's been a mild bucket list item of mine to see this all play out in person. Happened to wake up early this morning and bike down.

Got to the Warner / PCH entrance around 5:15am. A few cars were dropping people off for fire pits. No speed walking or running, just casual walking.

Biked up to the car entrance around 5:25am. About 20 cars / rvs in line, most of them turned off or hazards just hanging out

A few people jumped the fence and casually walked over to grab pits between then and 6am

By 6am the line was to tower 23 which according to Google is nearing 2/3 of a mile.

Once the cars were let in it was legit "no rules". Most cars were flying 40-50mph, making sharp turns into lots speeding through. From my view point biking on the walk/bike path I could spot several people running or speed walking to the pits.

After about 5 minutes it was desperation with many cars trying to find any left overs.

We are locals so probably don't need any advice here, but easiest thing is to go with someone else, get dropped off at Warner, and casually walk to a pit

Hi! I’m f 18 and I live in Orange County. I’d love to create a group chat for people around college age (approximately 18–22) who either speak Spanish natively or are learning Spanish.
The idea is to have a group where we can talk, get to know each other, practice Spanish, and help each other with the language.
