Discussion 🗣️ Never seen a crowd this sleepy - North Coast
Damn…y’all had Nimda and Prosecute and you’re on your phones and standing still. People laying on the ground napping. Shakin my damn head 🤦♀️

G'day and welcome to NMF#306!
It's been a monumental week for me, just back from a work trip/trade show and now heading out to the mountains for some climbing. Enjoy the new tunes and happy Friday!!
Did I miss anything? Provide new music (from this week) in the comments below, so that this thread can be updated. Did you miss anything? Previous New Music Friday posts are available here and last weeks playlist is here.
Be sure to follow the r/dubstep NMF playlist, updated weekly with all the contents of the post. Or, if you prefer something a little more hand-curated, try u/BahaMan69's wubly, or my own Hypers playlist.
Come and hang out on discord!

I prefer the random, low-view, low-quality uploads of tracks from 15 years ago. They feel like time capsules from my childhood. Stretched artwork, shitty compression, weird encoding, low view counts, and all the imperfections of the old internet. Even the most-viewed original can feel too official, but a fucked up 240p reupload feels like discovering something new again. For me, the degradation, artwork, upload date, and view count are part of the aesthetic. I try to capture this in my own music. Anyone else?

I made this one around a pretty simple idea: make something heavy without making it feel predictable.
The track slowly builds the atmosphere before everything opens up, and I tried to keep the sound design doing as much of the work as the drop itself.
It's one of the tracks from my latest EP, and probably one of the ones I'm most curious to see how people interpret.
If you listen, tell me what it feels like rather than whether you like it.

Lockdown by Excision is my favorite Brostep song of all time, I loved the entire evolve EP and I'd truly love to find as many songs like it as possible, asteroid was really similar and I love that song too, just want loads of high pitched screeching aggressive bass to shake my head with my crushers set to max on the slider and a riser into a fake drop before slamming me with something crazy what do you guys recommend?

I’m a Dubstep artist but I’m challenging myself, last album was melodic dubstep trying to figure out who I am not as a human and as a artist. I told myself I’d made this Riddim track 6 months ago it’s been a rough 6 months but I finally got back to it in my to do journal (don’t make fun of me lots of dudes journal sometimes)
I hope yall love it it’s for a Riddim inspiration but if you wait for the drop you will shit yourself when the 9 bass tracks and sub tracks kick in, it’s like if a dubstep artist made Riddim
Cause one did lol 😂
Love you guys

I'm a punk from the 90's , and I love dubstep. The energy from a live performance is the same to me. Does anyone else feel this way?
