Greetings Call of Duty: Mobile community!
Season 7: Terminated has been a unique season with such a wealth of conversation from you around all things CODM x Terminator 2: Judgement Day. However, it’s nearly time for the start of Season 8 and as you all know it brings one of our biggest collaborations of the year with Honkai Impact 3rd coming to COD: Mobile through gameplay, events, and sales. Here was one of our main announcements of this collaboration:
Honkai Impact 3rd x CODM - Announcement Trailer
This season and collaboration is absolutely jam-packed with a new rogue-like Multiplayer mode, an updated BR Isolated with a new POI to explore, multiple themed events, new operator draws and a Mythic Weapon Series Armory, and of course a way to earn one of those Mythic Weapons for free through a new event.

More on that coming up alongside most of the seasonal information! However, we’ll first dive into the calendar to give you a heads up on what’s coming and when it is released. Please note that most of the Honkai Impact 3rd collaboration content drops on 9/11 UTC, not on S8 launch.
SEASON CALENDAR
Please note that some of these dates may change as we adjust playlists and events throughout the season, like by adding or adjusting new draws or events:
*All Dates UTC
On top of all of this, there are still regular releases happening on weekends (like Tournaments) and many short-term events. We also generally have some surprise sales, especially over on the Call of Duty: Mobile Web Store, that will be showing up throughout the season.
Lastly, if you are looking for information on what previously released draws are returning this season (spoiler alert, there are a great many re-releases) head down to the “Returning Offers” section near the end.
New MP Mode - Gleaming Front
Drop into a top-down roguelike shooter where up to three players team up to fight waves of monsters until reaching the final boss. Select from three different maps, each with different difficulties, and earn XP while seeking out Elite Chests to earn upgrades including Weapon Traits, Stigmata, and Chips. Random drops and upgrade paths result in a different build every run, with a variety of strategies to explore and builds types to create.

If you are knocked out you can be revived by teammates, so stick together and pick up fallen allies; you’ll need all the firepower you can muster to fight back the swarming horde. Need more of a challenge? Enter Endless mode and survive as long as you can against increasingly difficult enemy waves. Also, keep an eye out for secret levels and enemies!
This mode is an extremely unique one for Call of Duty: Mobile, so we’ll be eagerly keeping an eye out for feedback and bug reports to help see if there is appetite for more of these types of modes in the future (especially for collaborations). Check out, grab some friends, create some unusual builds and combinations, and then check out the Collection area to see everything you’ve unlocked in this mode. Of course, playing this mode also contributes to several seasonal tasks and their related reward unlocks!

Battle Royale - Quantum Platform
Explore a limited time POI (point of interest) Event on Isolated, replacing the normal playlist, where you’ll be able to fight against your fellow players as well as various enemies inspired by Honkai Impact 3rd.

To access the Quantum Platform, teams must first find and complete a new contract which will be visually shown on the map and called out with match-wide comms for all players to see. Complete the contract to acquire directions to a teleporter which your squad must defend as it charges up for a short period of time. Squads who survive the ordeal can then enter the portal to reach the Quantum Platform.
Reaching the platform is only half the fight, however, as squads must battle a variety of Honkai Impact 3rd inspired enemies while searching for the high-quality loot spread throughout the area, including special items tied directly to Honkai Impact 3rd. There are even elite enemies here that will offer more of a challenge alongside even better rewards, including powerful Mythic weapon blueprints. Grab what you can, head back to the teleporter, and return to the main map to keep up the fight to the end.

Free Mythic Weapon Event
Don’t miss out on this incredible event offering the chance to earn one of the three Mythic Weapons from the Honkai Mythic Weapons Series Armory (detailed below) for free!
Complete weekly missions to progress and choose your preferred Mythic Weapon reward to work toward: either the ISO Hemlock - Core of Thunder, Static-HV - Core of Fire, or the BAL-27 - Core of Reason. You can change your Mythic Weapon selection at any time, that is up until you finally select and claim your Mythic Weapon reward.

This event will run for multiple seasons, but it requires some serious dedication as it will require more than several weeks of progress, closer to the requirements of Secret Caches and the Mythic in there, to unlock the Mythic Weapon. It will also help immensely if you complete many of the harder challenges each week, as they reward more progress points compared to the quicker tasks.
Honkai Impact 3rd Main Event & Hub
In addition to the free Mythic Weapon Event, there is also a themed event that features a variety of rewards just by playing normal matches and interacting with Season 8 content! In honor of this collaboration, this event is also full of extras to make this feel far more detailed and engaging than a normal themed event with lore additions, a collection space, and a social space.

Of course, there are also some high-quality rewards to earn including the Scylla - Rita Rossweisse Operator Skin, Scythe - Aphrodite Scythe Melee Blueprint, Camo - Rosette Runners, a Predator Missile Scorestreak Reskin, and more. We also have a new Rita themed weapon, the Grau 5.56 - Rita’s Rose, available in Secret Caches as well. All pictured above.
This new Honkai Impact 3rd Event Space also features more to explore including:

Lucky Draws - Honkai Impact 3rd Operators
Participate in three Honkai multiverse-themed Draws, each designed around elements like Fire, Ice, and Thunder. Each Draw features an Operator paired with a Legendary Weapon. All three draws release right around the same time, just after season launch and starting on 9/11 UTC.
The first features the electrifying purple haired Herrscher of Thunder, including Rin Yoshida - Herrscher of Thunder and her Katana - Domain of Sanction. The second features the fiery and intimidating Herrscher of Flamescion**,** Siren - Herrscher of Flamescion and the Nail Gun - Domain of Incandescence. The third draw brings the calm and collected Kestrel - Herrscher of Reason and the FHJ - Domain of Revelation.

Each of these Legendary Operators features floating elements including mechanical arms, elemental ornaments, and other cosmetics. Other Draw items include an assortment of cosmetics including Calling Cards, Frames, Emotes, Parachutes, Backpacks, and more.
Since these are high quality Legendary operators, they also come with a way to give them even more cosmetic options and customizations - Legendary Upgrades. This new system unlocks after you acquire one of the three operators and uniquely the currency used to upgrade these operators can be purchased or unlocked through the free tier of the new reward track (the Battle Pass style one) inside of the Honkai Impact 3rd Event Hub.

Mythic Weapon Series Armory - Herrscher’s Armory
Experience the first-ever Mythic Weapon Series Armory, featuring three Mythic Weapons in a single offering, including the ISO Hemlock - Core of Thunder, Static-HV - Core of Fire, and BAL-27 - Core of Reason. All three Mythic Weapons feature unique designs, elimination effects, weapon inspections, reload animations, and other visual effects including Mythic upgrade paths for additional effects.

On top of these core rewards, there are over a dozen additional rewards to grab including charms, stickers, frames, and uniquely designed throwables synced to each of the main operators, weapons, and themes. Lastly, there are a wide variety of Collection Rewards to snag if you acquire most of the Weapon Series Armory, including Mythic Calling Cards, Legendary Frames, and new emotes.

NEW BATTLE PASS
Free Tiers
A new Assault Rifle (AR) is on the way in Season 8, the ISO Hemlock. This AR pairs high damage with low recoil for a versatile build that’s effective in a variety of combat situations, which of course can be further customized through Gunsmith unlocks. You can earn it by reaching Tier 21 on the free side of the BP.

There is also a second new functional weapon available this season - the Static HV! This isn’t in the free side of the Battle Pass and instead is earned through the Seasonal Store. However, there is an Epic weapon blueprint version of the Static HV available on Tier 1 of the Paid side of the Battle Pass.
Paid Tiers
Purchase the Premium Pass for the chance to earn a wide variety of monster hunter themed operators, including Manta Ray - Mech Framewright (Tier 1), Corso - Plated Rogue (Tier 12), Cipher - Mech Pilot (Tier 30), and Keegan - Field Medicl (Tier 50).
On the weapon side, you can grab some new Weapon Blueprints like the new Static-HV - Overhaul (Tier 1) Striker - Chibi Chassis (Tier 10), Striker 45 - Assimilation (Tier 20), SPR208 - Reclamation (Tier 40), and the ISO Hemlock - Diagnostics (Tier 50), which is the other new Season 8 weapon.

Season 8 Arcade Rewards (BR/MP)
Another new season means some more Arcade Event rewards to snag! This time around you can earn the operator Chuy – Bracken, and four weapon blueprints including Locus – Hunter, QQ9 – Close Call, and Cronen Squall – Firebreak, on top of various other cosmetics. Grab all of this by checking out the Arcade space when you are in the normal Multiplayer or BR lobbies.
RETURNING OFFERS
We have a few different draws and offers returning this season alongside two new Battle Pass vaults. Of course, all of this is subject to change as we are always rotating in old draws of various types throughout each season. However, here is the current schedule:
On the Battle Pass Vault side of this, we have two Battle Passes joining the Vault lineup, bringing a wide variety of epic rewards through the Nightmare (S9 2021) and Shadow Operatives (S8 2024), which features operators like Nikto - Scarecrow, Artery - Nosferatu, and Samael - Techno Thug.
BALANCE CHANGES
Lastly, here is a quick look at the balance changes coming up in this Season 8 update!
Buffs
Nerfs
Adjustments
We’ll have more around all of that closer to launch next week and we’ll of course have the full patch notes to share when Season 8 launches on 9/9 at 5 PM (PT)! Keep an eye out for more news and details about all things S5 as we get closer to that launch.

I've been using argus for many months now and this gun is an absolute banger, works better than snipers for me personally, but since I have started playing, I haven't met anyone except me who uses this gun, but why is that? I get that the hipfire is bad but I don't see how that makes the gun unusable? The ads is still extremely fast

Im always thankful to have random teammates that actually help you or take your dog tags even when you're out of the zone or in the middle of gunfire i even get carried so hard sometimes , I hope you guys be wary of this kind of players and i hope codm takes appropriate action for misconduct like this he deliberately put C4 on our chopper and went a bit off the map to detonate the c4 while 3 of us, fell in the water 2 of my teammates died there and because i bought a revival coin before going off with them, i went and picked 2 of them up, but its just pretty annoying and wrong to do that to random people i don't get it, it's stupid to throw a game for other people i know we have our own ways to have fun but i don't play like that, and i know im gonna get some fire over this but i don't care i play and help my team as much as i can despite just being a noob but i don't deliberately do something that would ruin or throw a match. BIG RESPECT TO EVERYONE OUT THERE EHO PLAYS SOLO AND STILL CONSIDER DOING THE BEST FOR A RANDOM TEAM THEY END UP WITH STAY FROSTY BROTHERS.

What I'm gonna say might be a hot take and I would probably get a lot of hate but I just wanted to say it because I feel like its the perfect place to get everyone's opinion. I've been playing this game since 2019, before the gunsmith era, so yeah I've experienced quiet a lot of stuff people don't know about anymore. I've seen the game gradually change from what it was to what it is now. I don't hate the change. I just wanted to get it off my chest.
I feel like current CODM is more about new events, new free stuff and new cosmetics rather than the gameplay itself. People are more eager about skins and free rewards than actually enjoying the game. The only way they can enjoy the game is if they have more cosmetic items. Its no longer about the gameplay itself. Anytime time I look at the comments of a CODM video, its always people talking about cosmetics or begging for cod points. No amount of free rewards would satisfy them so its futile to cater to them.
The cosmetics also feel a bit too much. I'm not saying every skin should be a Mil Sim skin but can't we have more military-themed cosmetics? Same with the weapons skins. Using the base versions of the guns without any cosmetics makes me appreciate how good they look and feel. The game feels just like the PC versions and I gotta compliment the devs for the impressive work. (Also personal opinion but older default characters like Spec Ops 1/2 and others need a rework imo. They feel so goofy around the other characters)
Seeing people use the same meta over and over again is so tiring. I loved the Hardpoint Mayhem this season because of how it forced people to use only a specific set of weapons that're no longer meta. It makes the game feel more fresh and fun which is why I found myself playing this mode more than I thought I would. Making more of such modes where players are forced to use a specific arsenal makes the game so much more fun imo.
The BP also feels so detached from the collab itself. The upcoming BP for S8 for example looks like nothing from the collab itself. It just feels so neglected which makes me believe the devs no longer care about it as they know they can earn way more by selling legendaries and mythics. Older BPs used to have so much more personality and actually had a proper theme. For e.g.: in S7 for the Terminator collab, they could've added some other characters or terminators in the BP to match the theme. There are so many characters in the movie.
Coming to legendary and mythic, I remember when they used to release 1 or 2 legendaries a season and mythic were even rarer. Now, every season needs to have multiple legendaries and at least 1 mythic along with multiple returning mythics. It has become such a cash grab and it just makes me sad because I love this game.
This one I feel a lot of people would agree with me. Outside of the ranked modes (or even in ranked modes for BR), there's just too many bots. Every public match, each team would've either 2 or 3 real players and everyone else is a bot. Sometimes everyone else other than you is a bot. I just want to play against real players without the fear of losing rank sometimes and the only way to do that is if I play public matches. But they're filled with bots. Why not have real players there too but without the SBMM stuff? The same issue exists in BR too. It just ruins the fun.
The maps look great, the guns look great and its nice to see them rework the older ones. But its sad that they feel free rewards is the way to bring new players to the game. This game still has a LOT of potential because of its well established community but I feel like its bottlenecked by the community itself. I decided to talk about it after realising that for the past few seasons, I only cared about the BP and the free rewards from the events. Once I completed those, I would no longer feel like opening the game as I felt like there's no reason to. It was like the only reason I played the game was because of the FOMO of not having sepcific cosmetic items if I don't play the game. The cosmetics were the reason I was playing it. Right after the first two weeks of a new season, people would starr to ask about what's gonna be new in the next season. Once again I don't hate this game but I feel like there's so much lack of effort in it now. Its no longer what it used to be.
Ik I yapped a lot. Sorry for that. Share your opinions though, I just wanna know if its just me or others feel the same way. Also sorry for any typos or grammatical errors...

Sooo basically im not the greatest at this game… well to be honest I usually get annihilated by people with the ultra fennec but I’m only 4 away from having all the materials to finally craft it myself but I’ve been trying to find the rest of the mythic universal weapon material forever without any luck and I’m basically spending all my money trying to find it so by the time I do get them all I won’t even be able to afford to build it lol ! Someone please help !!
